I LOVE posts that start with

…“I’ve been playing WoW for X number of years”

What exactly does this mean? Should it mean more or less to the topic?

Did you have to walk to Stormwind uphill both ways in a blizzard to get to the auction house?

Had to punch boars with my bare hands just to level up.

It’s the same as anyone saying, “I’ve worked in this field for so many years.” It’s a frame of reference for their knowledge on the amount of time they’ve experienced in game. I’m not sure why people get bent out of shape about this.

Do you know how many boars you have to kill to go up 30 levels?

They try to put some weight behind their statements which usually fails 'cause people see past the BS most of the times

I’ve been playing wow for 13 years and for 12.9 years people have been talking about how long they’ve been playing.

It means they have experience. They know and played this game from the beginning, something most of you don’t. This is why classic is coming out, so we can go back to the good ol days and play with a community.
You have to group up in classic just to complete some quests instead of soloing elites like today which is a joke.
It’s not a solo game, it’s a MMO.
They should stick with their roots.

No shoes. Half of a shirt. Ripped legguards. Rusty armbands. And a belt from the swamp.

Have you found that new players have more insight than long-time players? Why’s that?

I’ve been playing since Vanilla so obviously my thoughts on the topic are far superior than yours and that makes me right.

Pretty much this right here ^

I remember when paladins were Alliance and horde were shamans. Now you young whipper snappers intermingled and caused them to be on both sides!

Oh how Goldshire has changed. It’s been a different neighborhood since then. I keep petitioning for more guard patrols. The King never listens. Tons of random totems litter the ground like no one cares. It’s beyond RIDICULOUS!

idk why people get so worked up about this either. it’s adding context for opinions.

No, but literally had to walk uphill in a blizzard to get to the AH in Ironforge
