Just feels like you’re making the bosses have so much HP and I’m not really getting stronger at all, gives me a reason to basically take a week off every other week and I’m basically a Mythic + player at this point and its the only thing keeping me interested.
Would be nice if there was something else I could do, to help gear my character instead of having to kill 4 bosses with over 2 million HP each, when my gear has risen to 215 and I basically dont see much of a power gain to my character.
As a tank, I like tyrannical weeks more than fort weeks. It makes the trash feel easy and more relaxed. And then mechanics actually matter during the boss fights.
How is having 100 explosives spawning and then raging which makes the trash harder than fort weeks and then add on tyrannical make stuff easy and more relaxed…
Nobody pushes keys on Tyrannical weeks. It’s get your GV done and move on.
Some of us still push on Tyrannical weeks.
Agreed with OP, Tyrann is probably my least favorite affix…if for no other reason that on higher keys it just gets old waiting for the boss to finally die.
Some bosses that typically have a ton of HP in general are exponentially affected by Tyrannical.
1st in Mists, 3rd in Spires, both become huge HP sponges. Thankfully they both have big burst windows.
I don’t mind the HP sponges so much as the fights which get worse the longer they go on. Hakkar getting more adds each time, Globrog needing multiple hard CC for large slimes, Blightbone blocking off real estate, and Amarth’s damage aura stacking up, for example. Just having to do the same fight for longer is fine, but the last 30% of these bosses is much worse than the first 30%.
The problem with Tyrannical is how it affects different bosses. Some just become damage sponges that take a while longer to kill while others becomes ridiculously punishing due to the scaling of their mechanics or prolonging of the fight.
The same can be said for Fortified. Some trash packs become ridiculously difficult while others you barely notice the affix.
I really don’t know why Blizzard are persisting with these 2 affixes. They seem be universally despised.
I truly hate Tyrannical. When you wipe on a boss, that key is most likely dead. You lost Pride and in some cases you lose Lust if you use it. People are more patient dying to trash than dying to a boss, people will stay even wiping on trash. Some bosses tank busters are dumb as heck like Millie from DOS and the 3rd boss from SD. The 2nd boss in NW needs either insane dps, kicks/stuns on mages or CC them.
Not to mention the stupidness of NWs last boss’ shield where even with hammers it still takes too damn long. Trash, other members can help CC or slow so you don’t take as much damage. Boss? Its all you my boy. A lot more pressure to not die.
