I liked shadowlands get over it

sick of being called a troll for saying i liked the expansion.

did it have its flaws? yeah. but it’s what got me into wow and allowed me to get to know people i’d consider my best friends. it also helped me find out who i was as a person.

i liked castle nathria and the anduin fight, those were both the best memories of my wow career and just entertaining mechanics. i liked the court fight, very unique wish we got something like it in these newer raids.

i loved sanguine depths, theater of pain, de other side. these new dungeons

and lastly, denathrius who can hate him?

I didnt like the zone artwork. The only thing memorable about it is my warrior crashing to the ground like a meteor. Epic.

I liked Maldraxxus because it was spooky, and we don’t get a lot of that kind of aesthetic.

I came back in the middle of SL from a long break from WoW. The systems and chores were too complicated to jump into as a returning player.

I didn’t enjoy the later zones of SL at all. The robots and constructs were weird and everything was yellow. I pretty much used that time to relearn the game and prepare for Dragonflight, which was so dumbed down I was sort of able to relearn the game again.

Yeah I didn’t really pay attention to much in DF, just trying to figure out what WoW had become in the 8-9 year absence I’d taken. LOL

It was a very raid or die expansion. If you were into raiding, it probably wasn’t as bad as people say. But if you didn’t like to raid or do Mythic+ it was beyond horrible. Navigating with the world that wasn’t weekly raid logging was just so bad… not many people want to play like Ion does and Mythic raid log (or be a Mythic+ dungeon e-sport pusher) so that’s why it was so poorly received.

I am not impressed by raid (or even dungeon to a lesser extent) mechanics and stuff like that. I could care less. It was completely Ion’s dark fantasy of what a game should be over everything else. And failed Choreghast coulda been something cool like Delves are now but it wasn’t. Just another way to farm for some borrowed power mechanic on two gear slots. It was the expansion out of everything else that tortured the casual player to please such a small percent of the playerbase. I guess if you were just completely new to WoW, you’d still be kind of blown away- the art and design team tend to be very good.

Don’t know if you are trolling yet or not, but if you are completely unempathetic to ‘de other side’ - pun very much intended, then yes I would say you are trolling.

Shadowlands is like a well done steak. It’s a universally panned dish but some people still like them, and that’s ok…ish.

…we just need to make sure they don’t reproduce.

Bro you want to experience an actual raid or die expansion in another year or so go check out WoD classic.

SL was bad, but it wasn’t raid or die. It put in a fair share of content to do outside of raids or M+ but the content was not always seen in the greatest light. I still wouldn’t say it’s raid or die, especially considering M+ is now an end game pillar it’s pretty hard to argue that can ever truly be a thing again.

This two things alone make SL better than both DF and TWW combined.

You definitely troll. Used to be lighthearted and a bit more fun, but now you serious and hurt. Oozing animosity towards the game. :frowning:

I didn’t particularly care about the Anduin storyline but I loved and still love Shadowlands with all its magnificent art and covenant aesthetics.

The races and NPCs also had aesthetically and visually pleasing models and the colors in each zone were vibrant, especially with Inky Black Potion.

The art really stood out to me from Ardenweald and its pretty glow to the Kyrian and Mawsworn and their beautiful wings. And everything was just so easy to get, like joining covenants or getting Renown or getting anima (although filling those Anima Reservoirs is a different story).

Revendreth won many hearts as well, including mine. :rose::wine_glass::woman_vampire:t2::vampire:t2::man_vampire:t2::bat::spider::spider_web:

Thankfully, that expansion is over though

It’s a real shame, I would have liked it if it hadn’t needlessly retconned so many things

I loved Shadowlands and still spend a lot of time there. Oddly enough for a story junkie like me the lack of writing allowed me to write a lot of my own stories to fill in the gaps. I had a blast doing that, and still create stories in the SL setting, particularly with my beloved Kyrian and hated Forsworn stewards.

There were certainly bits to like about SL.

Overall, still a horrible experience and even now I avoid it like anything that has caused me pain.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but I don’t think you will find many that agree with you.

Loved Shadowlands and will never be gaslit into thinking it wasn’t a great expansion. So glad I came back to the game during that time and got to experience it firsthand.

When Shadowlands remix or classic comes along, I’ll be noping out of retail big time. The only other classic or remix I’m waiting for is BfA.

Shadowlands was pretty good.

I personally like it and I’ve gone out of the way to get the major mounts from there.

SL is the Nickelback of WoW expansions. It’s fine if you like Nickelback or SL and that also doesn’t make them good.

Bro is caping for Shadowlands. He might be the game’s most devoted defender idk what you mean.
