I hate how its implemented. Paladins were always about those chunky crits, those meaty hits, those fat swings. Doesn’t need to be fast, doesn’t need to be overly complicated with needless buttons(Lookin at you Exorcism and Final Reckoning) it just needs to be what people want: A holy avenger that smashes heretics with the Light.
Heres some ideas that will fall upon deaf ears because Blizzards Paladin class designer is an AI Bot.
Give us Consecration Aura, instead of Sanctified/Consecrated Ground, just let it follow us and put Sanctified/Consecrated Ground in the pvp talents where it belongs.
Remove Boundless Judgement, its useless. Completely useless. I dont even know what to replace it with, ngl. Maybe like…has a 30% chance for Judgement to cast Holy Avenger for 3 seconds?
Change Consecrated Blade, have it where Art of War grants a 100% critical strike chance to Blade of Justice, along with resetting its cooldown. Expurgation can be changed to spread its crit DoT to nearby targets at 30% of the damage done while keeping its main target at 60%
Seal of Wrath is pretty useless. Remove it or replace it with Tempest of the Lightbringer.
Incandescence or Touch of Light should be baseline for all paladin specs.
Change Blade of Condemnation to increase its crit damage by 5%
Exorcism needs to be a proc chance. Its a neat ability for sure, but it just feels like another button to press. Same thing with Final Reckoning, its just another button. I dont feel good pressing it.
Lower the damage of Exorcism, have it at a 35% proc chance when using Holy Power spenders, overlapping Exorcisms don’t reset the DoT time, only increases damage of the DoT slightly, and keep the spread with enemies in Consecration.
Bake the active of Final Reckoning into Wake of Ashes, lower its increased damage taken to 25%, keep the passive Final Reckoning where its at, keep the proc chance to whatever it is currently, and make it an AoE.
It feels like a class overhaul, but its mostly just tweaking talents to get rid of some bloat and make other abilities feel better, in my eyes anyway.
