What I don’t like is how it seems the current raiding scene penalizes smaller groups. The mechanics usually require the same number of players to do them regardless of whether you have 30 players or just a handful of 10 meaning you have fewer opportunities to screw up. Furthermore the number of Battle Resurrections you get is smaller and take longer to recharge over the course of the fight. If the rezzer is the one to die, then you’re just SOL.
I would love to do Mythic raiding, but our numbers are a consistent 10-15 players on a regular night, since it requires a hard 20 that’s basically never going to happen most days; maybe once a month we’ll have that. Tonight we got 16 players and wiped at 10% of Heroic Jaina, I wonder if we had those 4 extra numbers would it have been a kill. Or at least attempt the mythic raid.
We could recruit more people, but the amount of people looking who aren’t just after the loot are far fewer than those who are committed to the outcome of the group. Generally we let others come to us anyway, we don’t advertise. Sure I could go look for other groups, but I like the community that I’m in even though i dislike the raid leader, I respect him. It’s a tight knit group that fits well together, that is difficult to find.
This is really the only content that keeps me playing. I really hate Island Expeditions and can’t understand why they keep pushing them. I stopped PvP back when they decided Tank specs should take 50% increased damage in Battlegrounds, I don’t mind Warfronts that much, but mainly do them for the extra Medals on alts who still don’t have the teleport ring. Mythic+ Dungeons are kind of meh for me, not that it matters as most don’t seem to want a Bear, not for lack of skill just the overwhelming consensus seems to avoid Bears in general.
