If a new Delve companion is made available in some future patch or expansion, I hope Brann remains an optional choice. I will tryout the new companion, but I dearly love Leeeeeeroy Brannkins with all his quirks and comments.
In the future, when Delve companions become more advanced in their AI abilities, it would be nice if you could talk to Brann, e.g. asking questions or making your own comments to Brann would be fun.
In any case, keep up the good work.
Originally I think they were supposed to add new companions each season and we’d be able to choose. As it stands now though… we’ll be getting a new companion every expansion with no options at all. You’ll have to say good bye to Brann and hello to Valeera Sanguinar.
It is confirmed that Valeera will be replacing Brann in midnight.
Personally, I dislike Brann. I think all Dwarfs have the exact same personality and Im tired of it. It is more Magni’s fault though on why I dislike Dwarfs right now.

personally, i’d like a selection of delving companions instead of two alliance companions in a row… blizz… not really fair.

Also Brann is quite amazing so long as you arent a dumb left of bell curve and aremt stupidly using him as a tank instead of his vastly superior DPS and especially healer options

So it only counts if the NPC has stacks of Alliance corpses at their feet and does something heinous like bring an alternate universe of orcs to our doorstep while outcasting the OG Horde races as a “true Horde member”?
It isnt like Brann has been actively hostile to the Horde. I remember accepting and doing quests with him way the far back on a Tauren and yet he didnt try and kill me or anything since clearly he is Alliance through and through.
Valeera is Horde representation as much as Brann is Alliance which means spit all in a time when the factions are working together anyway

Valeera has been with the alliance for her characters entire existence, that’s why she considered an alliance character, not because she’s not running around killing alliance
I know her history going back to her being gladiators with Varian.
But Brann hasnt been on the frontlines of Alliance matters either. The fact he is a Dwarf is inconsequential. If he counts as Alliance by virtue of his race then a token Blood Elf counts as Horde by the same logic. Either we got 0 faction bias in the known NPCs or we got 1 of each. Either way it is “fair”.
And to be clear I am not stoked on Valeera. I’d rather have that llama loving Vulpera yelling at me. It also makes sense she would have bags of recovered gadgets to serve her filling a role than an assassian whose likely going to give us helpful poison vials and throwing healing daggers in us as “healing”
I like Brann. I just don’t want only one delve companion. Unfortunately they look like they’re going to repeat the mistake by giving us only a single delve companion for Midnight. Hopefully they change their minds before then.
I’m new on the expansion and I only have him as a companion for this delves…
But I prefer him than his brother Magni…

If brann stays as the delve companion, I hope they mute him and make him not draw aggro as a non-tank. It is very annoying when he pulls extra mobs when you’re already fighting a pack as a clothie.
Brann hasn’t worked for or exclusively with the Alliance. He’s always been adventuring and doing his own thing and quests with him both sides can do. Or remind me of a cutscene where’s he’s actively fighting against Horde players/characters because I don’t remember any.
For that matter show me where Valeera has actively fought on the Alliance battlelines against the Horde.
Also sounds like I know more about the characters than you which isn’t a surprise given I know more than most and have forgotten more than most even knew in the first place. I’m the farthest thing from being suckered into believing that race = faction. Brann isn’t Alliance until he decides to wave that blue flag and turn his gun on the Horde.
Valeera was the personal body guard to Varian Wrynn and later (presumably) Anduin. That’s pretty Alliance.
She ended up in an Ogrimmar slave arena somehow. With Varian and Broll Bearmantle at some point. Somehow. She’s a comic book character, and those comics were pretty wild.
Yea guess him being affiliated with the alliance, ironforge, and the alliances explorers league doesn’t make him alliance

Not something I’d be shouting in public to be honest…
I used to like Brann, now I can’t stand him. Multiple delve companions or any options at all would have been nice. Shame what they can think of and what they can actually deliver tend to be a bit off in one way or another. At a minimum I think of how easy it would have been to give Alliance Brann and Horde Rexxar for this expansion… but nope.

Maybe we could pick from certain garrison or table companions.
Just do a quest where you take bran to visit your garrison, and introduce him to the character you want to use. Bran can set them up as an apprentice.
