Everybody thinks Lightforged Draenei Death Knights are weird, but nobody bats an eye at Forsaken Priests. Is it not essentially the same thing, if not more contradicting for undead to wield the light?

Forsaken Priests get hand waved away as being strictly Shadow with Alonsus Faol just being an exception as Discipline.
Lightforged DK makes no sense because if you take a Lightforged Draenei and remove their blessing of Light and revive them how is it not just a normal Draenei.
Canonically, almost all Forsaken follow the Forgotten Shadow, not the Light.
That aside, there is precedent for DKs with a particularly strong devotion to the Light to maintain their connection. There’s Sir Zeliek from Naxx and (I believe) Whitemane. It’s just difficult and rather unpleasant (Light + Unholy = pain).

I always imagined a forsaken priest experiencing some pain when they heal. So just picture a priest hitting a heal over and over on someone and they’re just going “ow…ow…ow.”

That’s basically how it works. Even if it’s being channeled in a beneficial way (eg. healing), exposure to the Light feels like they’re being burned.

All I know is I wish I’d waited to make my lightforged because it would amuse me to have it be a DK.
