Great class, great spec. I was playing elemental and changed to enhancement and it is a lot .
We need a little bit of attention from Blizz.
A couple things : Shamans excel on utility, but every spec should have a streamlined utility kit or a clear path to chose on the spec tree. Resto is doing fine, but elemental and enhancement are too intricate and sometimes it feels like we are missing something.
Right now, enhancement is too convoluted to deal average damage compared to other classes and very punishing if you mess up your rotation.
Everything flashing at the same time is not good for mental health. On the heat of battle , we can’t afford to stop and micromanage too many options in a matter of seconds while 4+ effects are happening around us. I can’t deny is extremelly challenging and fun, but at the moment, not rewarding enough. Feels like every ability does a chip of damage .
Our procs and resources are everywhere on the screen:
Right now I cannot track my maelstrom weapon stacks, my lava lash stacks , my windfury totem timers, my cooldowns without addon customization. (I do enjoy addons, but I’d like to keep the original UI)
I would like to know if I am being paranoid or am I a terrible enhancement shaman or people think like me on this.

There are a lot of procs and buffs to keep track of and yes, “flashing lights” too. The spec should come with a seizure disclaimer, lol.
As far as addons go, I know Weakauras is popular but I use Tellmewhen to help track things like Maelstrom Weapon stacks above 5, Stormstrike resets, etc.
I don’t think addons are necessary but can be used minimally as to not interfere too much with the default UI and help track important things.

I think what I’d like the most for enhancement shaman is maybe a little better damage in single target and significantly better survivability tools.
I’ve played virtually every melee class in the game, and enhancement feels much, much more vulnerable and susceptible to encounter damage, particularly at the mythic 20+ range. Not impossible, but just a lot harder. Sporecaller cloak feels mandatory.
I also think that a 6 to 9 yard range on every melee class should be standard if blizzard is going to make literally every boss and every trash pack try to recreate a Jackson Pollock painting on every single pull. I swear, I want one season where I’m not constantly dancing in and out between death swirls for 99.999999999999% of a dungeon.

Being able to track maelstorm stacks was the biggest issue I had with the enhancement UI.
Followed by lava lash having no indicator.
Also stormstrike cooldown resets shared a UI indicator with some other ability, though I never spent the time to determine what was interfering.

I use a weakaura that plays a shotgun racking sound when I hit 10 maelstrom stacks I love it. But yeah I do think our ST needs a little love. I’m at 436 ilvl with 40% haste 50% mastery and barely breaking 70k DPS with the physical build which seems ridiculous. I’m fully convinced we suffer because blizzard has no idea how to balance windfury.
