Honestly, looking forward to BC classic because being a hybrid means basically being a healbot endgame PVE.
Paladin specs were utter hotgarbage in classic, and you really couldn’t tank or DPS-- In BC, while maybe slightly suboptimal, Ret and prot at least could try and compete enough to be brought (Moreso for Prot paladins which had a very real niche for AOE).
Classic is pretty trash. I’m sure the hype has died down and about 1/3 of the playerbase already quit lmao
“I like classic but” is the standard intro that a retail customer uses to suggest an idea that will destroy classic.
Why play classic if you know this is going to happen?
LOL
Burning crusade classic Will destroy classic?
The only way that would be true would be if BC was superior to classic wow and drains all the people to BC servers.
because retail is garbage basically. I think wow was best at BC/WOTLK. Classic is better than Retail is, but isn’t when wow was at its best IMO due to class design.
Roll a rogue/mage no looking back
3 n a half total month sub time for me ever… very new… this is the best mmorpg to ever hit the market now and 15 years ago… game devs have been trying to recreate what blizzard was able to do for years and years… noone has even come close… not even a chance
I love classic because it’s authentic to the original game but honestly I like MOP or Wrath more because PVP is what keeps me active after going through the lore. Raiding is boring and classic PVP is overrated. Only reason I like classic PVP more than retail is because PVP won’t be dead.
Yeah, pure classes feel good. Its just… you can FEEL how much more love and attention went into them than the hybrid classes.
You spelled WotLK wrong.
BC/WOTLK are about even in my book.
I like the mechanics of TBC, I just hate the look of it.
Except Nagrand. Nagrand is acceptable.
TBC will probably have way more players playing, as well as Wotlk. But to say that paladins aren’t good for tanking and dpsing in classic is rather…wrong. They are entirely gear dependent. I even suggest that paladins go SP with str, your abilities will hit harder, and your autos will be the core, and judge when the seal is about to expire for mana reasons.
I enjoy classic. It’s still pretty fresh to me because I have limited time to play lately. I am looking forward to the rest of the endgame and still log in even when it’s not raid time.
We’re a long way from “expanding,” so I am not worried about it. I’m playing Vanilla for what it was - perfectly imperfect.
They can do it “okay” in 5 mans up until 60, then its basically GTFO and let the warriors take over for raids.
I played a paladin back in 2004/5. This time, it’s Mage/Warlock.
I learned from my mistakes. Not that I dislike Paladins, just not my cup of tea knowing what I know now.
Yeah BC/wraith was best. Classics only good because it’s the only alternative to retail.
Classic was great as a foundation, but the reality is BC/WOTLK are far superior games in every way possible.
Classic could have been better, it was a missed opportunity by taking the safe route and not going straight into classic +. It’s likely never going to happen now. It will probably have to be another 15-20 years, and by then it won’t matter because the world will be falling apart due to catastrophic climate change.
Agreed with ya right up to the end, climate change is kind of a joke good sir. We were supposed to already be in an ice age right now according to what people said 15 years ago. But yeah, Bc/wraith had better PvP, itemization, quality of life changes, you name it.
