Hey forums Auntie Paz here with your helpful dose of forum fun!!

What’s your favorite mount in game?

What was the mount that when you got it made you celebrate the most!!

For me my favorite mount depends on what char I am playing!

On Paz here it’s herself.
Put on my DK it’s my Death lord’s Dragon (I forget the actual name but Ya’ll know what I mean!) etc.

The mount I celebrated hardest was Ashes of A’lar that stupid thing took me almost 15 years across multiple characters and it finally dropped during DF!

I pushed away from my desk on my chair and did a celebratory set of spins! My Cat looked at me like I was crazy lol.

I don’t think I’ve “celebrated” a mount since I bought my first flying mount in TBC.

Does the thrill not wear off for anyone else?

Yeah the first epic flying mount in TBC in 2004 or whatever was the most notable.

Same here, it was a Blizz con exclusive.

Wish they’d bring back the Blizz con mounts for the anniversary if they are going the selling shop mounts.

It was the wrath dungeon meta-achievement mount, the red proto drake. But primarily for the group of RL friends I did it with over the months. I hardly use it, but it felt solid to ‘earn’ that one.

I just looked for it on wowhead and it states it’s no longer obtainable. Wasn’t even aware of that. Interesting. EDIT: This appears to show ‘removed’ because of the method by which you claim it no longer includes receiving it by mail - just dropping in your mount inventory.

Time Lost Proto-Drake.

I would get logged in at all odd hours to check for the spawn. Finally got it right before I had to head out for work one morning.

Oh wow I had totally forgot about those, and I had even just looked them up a couple of months ago to see what they were about and if they were still obtainable.

We should definitely get some forum outrage over tying a mount to a limited time event that costs real world dollars!

I was low key hoping we could customize the Delver’s Dirigible into a version of it back when it was announced.

During Legion Blizz Con I worked Fridays and didn’t bother to buy the virtual ticket, because I wasn’t able to veiw Blizz con online.

I still work Saturdays.

Invincible is my favorite mount.

The one I celebrated the most was also Invincible.

When that dropped, I made audible noises I can’t really describe. Like, I legit don’t know what they were. lol After 7 years of farming that raid, my brain just kinda…broke for a minute.

Celebrated not sure, but something about making a giant- cerberus- dog (Core Hound) I’m riding like an elephant roar with the /mountspecial fills me with a sense of awe and glee…

Much as I love Valiance and taking it for a stroll around SW, it has a weaksauce mount special for an otherwise amazing mount.

The achievement with the reward is still listed as available in game, not even a feat of strength just there in the dungeon achievement tab.

Looking into it a bit, it’s source is “removed” because they changed it from being sent to you in the mail to being automatically added to your mount tab instead.

Don’t know that I have a definitive favorite (as I change my mount based on what character I am playing and what mog I am using), but I am rather fond of

  • Rivendere’s Deathcharger
  • Bloodfang Widow
  • Onyx Netherwing Drake
