Level 120. Look, Blizzard… Please just allow Essences to be account wide. The cloak or whatever, fine… it’s current content and I can understand that. (Even the Azerite Necklace Grind, leave it whatever.)
But at least allow us to play alts, which only just boost your time played stuff anyways because we’re happy gearing Alts to get close to our mains. It isn’t as if we did not earn it, but the grind after grind after grind honestly starts to wear me down. Essences on Alts I feel honestly would fix that.
Please, I don’t know what to do. I want to play but don’t feel it.
We need less account-wide stuff, not more. If you want your alts to be equally as powerful as your main then put in an equal amount of work. We have enough catch-up systems as it is.
When did I say this exactly? Or are we in the business of making things up? What catch up mechanism do we have? Reduced Azerite pointless necklace? Oh my, what a blessing. /s
They have enough grinds as is to even begin playing some alts, you don’t need to continually think of players as metrics instead of people just wanting to enjoy a game. I never said my alts should be as good as my main, I said I should be able to level alts and get them similarly close. If you eliminate this stupid Essence portion that shouldn’t be in here, the grind is still the same for the Cloak and any upgrades past 8.2
Secondly, if people WANT 8.2 stuff and didn’t do it in the first place, they’ll have to. Hence you still have to do it to achieve it on the alt. Your excuse of you had to grind before honestly and simply outdated. Before all you had was a level grind and gear. Now you have a level grind, Azerite Necklace Grind, Gear Grind, Cloak Grind and a Grind just to Grind the cloak.
My bad for wanting one little grind removed so I can actually try and enjoy the content they push out. But instead, I’ll just be pushed away. Running out of Alt ideas.
Worldvein, Crucible of Flames, Focusing Iris and if you manage to get 4th slot open on all your alts, Vision of Perfection, 4 easiest ones to unlock. If you have a healer or tank, replace focusing iris with the equivalent you get rewarded.

If you want to replace focusing iris with an even easier one… the one you get from 8.3.
Alts don’t need rank 3 of every optimized essence. They’re alts. Take the free ones and super easy to get ones and play. Essences, which is basically a gear slot, should not be account wide.
Except you do in this current content. The idea of catch up mechanics is to avoid the previous grinds on the Alts, not double down on them. Current content Grind and even the Azerite 50+ on the necklace is fine. But sitting here pretending like going through past patch crap ON EVERY CHARACTER is somehow a requirement to “play your alts in current content.”
And exactly how doesn’t that affect alts as well? And if it’s designed that way, why are we going to litterly break their ability to progress azerite talents on armor and such by not pushing their Neck to 50+ and giving them their main progressions (Or however far their account has gone on that specific item)?
That’s not exactly copying their mains gear or cloak progression. It’s not removing any current contents grinds or enjoyments? And again, if they WANT that stuff they HAVE to do it. But HAVING to repeat it ETC amount of times is the issue. That’s just idiotic. There wasn’t that many grinds when you just leveled and alt and geared it. Now there is too many.
And why should I have to grind 8.2 again and again and again, and then grind 8.3 again and again?
Exactly what does this server besides ego? “Haha, I wasted the same amount of time each ult doing the exact same thing. Other than gearing my toon which makes sense, but getting these borrowed abilities I have already gotten is a bit ridiculous. Just to be any type of decent.”
