I like 8.3

So there’s a billion posts about how much everyone hates everything.

I’m having fun. . so yeah.

I think the content is challenging (I started around ilevel 435 I think) and I’ve received some upgrades.

Horrific Visions are a little confusing and I think a lot of people put the fear into me about “being behind forever if I mess up.” Yeah, they’re wrong. I’ll be one rank behind until Tuesday and I’ll catch up. No biggie. Once you get past the anxiety of screwing up, it’s a cool content update.

Invasions are cool - still hate having daily quests though. Why exactly are we not getting WQs again? I don’t get it. WQs > Dailies. Stop doing this. My quest log isn’t empty and it’s annoying.

The major questline to unlock everything was great! I can feel the sense of urgency that we need to kill N’zoth! I’m not a huge alt player, but I hope they add some sort of skip for this though because this took a long time.

I love the LFR cloth set so far, reminds me of the Dragon Soul warlock set.

So, if you’re having fun, drop a comment. If not. . .just try to keep it civil at least.

Sorry but according to the GD elite, this post is invalid because it doesn’t rise to a stringent enough level of feedback.

I’m super busy with school so being able to quickly do my dailies is nice. So i don’t quite hate the patch, but if I had more time I certainly wouldn’t be a happy camper.

It isn’t the patch that I hate, it is just the way some things have been implemented within this patch that throws me off.

That makes one of us. This patch makes me want to put on my sad pants. Hopefully the gated content will save it.

I’m actually liking it so far. I mean I do have my complaints about it, like mob spawn rates /fist shake!

Other than that complaint though I don’t have much at the moment. I like everything else. hunting for Alpaca, racing to get enough gear from 388 when I boosted this Tuesday to 430 so I can raid on Tuesday with my guild. even got my cloak to rank 5 so I’m happy with that.

I mean yeah there’s been hiccups, but it’s to be expected with a patch that is trying new stuff. (in my opinion)

overall though I’ve actually been logging in for longer than 10 minutes to see if there is a gold emissary out and logging off to go watch Netflix.

If you mess up on any of the visions, you will be behind in mementos earned. This slows your talent tree progression, which in turn keeps your visions harder, and doubles down on slowing your overall progression and memento farming.

If you are failing the visions now, the mementos wont help you are just a bad player.

Completed both closest extra zones and killed thrall in time with 2 people (mage 430/hunter 435). You literally get 3 extra sanity bars even if you fail the very first vision. They give you enough to get the first tree of mother regardless of completion.

I am having a fun time with this patch. I see some parallels with Legion at the same point and GD is on queue to be mostly negative as they were about Argus at first.
I see great potential for catchups for those that want them, and I see some legit complaints about mob spawn irregularities.
I am overall enjoying it so far and look forward to raid release.

As a player who doesn’t have too much time to read many guides or watch youtube videos, I just jumped into the patch hoping to learn things as I play.

BIG MISTAKE!

I’ve wasted 3 vessels due to inexperience and now I’m super mad I can’t even try again. “No biggie” is actually not for everyone. This is bad design in my opinion. They have not considered players who intend to learn while playing, they have not considered new players, or simply players that do mistakes in general.

They threw their mantra: “Easy to learn, hard to master” out the window, now it feels more like “Easy to be punished, hard to master”.

Literally my only criticism is the lack of account-wide essences. Kinda douring my mood since I dawdled last patch.

The patch is fine for now, but for me it all depends on the pre mythic balance they do, int trinket being bis for meele specs (change this already ffs), some corruptions are absolutely stupid and they are taking their sweet time to make a tuning pass, so yeah corruption idea is great but as always the balance is a clown fiesta.

I have alts for reasons. BFA allied races. RNG mostly. I love mounts. 8.3 is not alt friendly except gear tokens which are low lvl ilvls. At least it’s good for xmog? :joy:

The simulation is buggy. Mounts not dropping as intended reference wowhead “malevolent drone” hotfixed. Opposite that friendly alpaca exploit by players in raids feed 7x at once instead of intended one time a day for 7 days, Blizz let fly under radar.
“Alpaca it up” wow quest name for reference Google quest wowhead read comment section. Also realm stability, ddos attacks and dailies reset. Also the treasure chest exploit. Rares not counting killed by opposite faction in wm. People said they got credit. Personally I didn’t.

No wonder QA for Blizz product under performing due to layoffs. Don’t forget BFA is WoD 2.0. Drought content verses pushed back 8.0 HoA xcld 8.3.5. unpolished unpopular game system timegation.:face_with_monocle:🤷🤷

9 months for 9.0 alpha and beta. Can we trust Accty~Blizz to put game on track? Poor record since WotLK in subs bleeding.

Just like that song “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis. Listen to it. The lyrics is about Azeroth. Seriously. Blizz devs stabbed & cutting the game and planet up bleeding azerite. SMH.:sob::broken_heart::broken_heart::broken_heart:

Honestly? I love this patch. My sole gripe is the nature of Quest Objectives. It’s not a cool thing to be killing 3-4 mobs to get to a Quest mob, and then have someone fly down and take it, sometimes followed up by a /spit and /rofl at you while you continue to fight the mobs.

This is why the original developers distanced themselves from this sort of single cap questing. The new developers adopting it because “It’s how Classic was” is not a good thing. It’s a major regression in the quality of the game, and it should be hot-fixed out.

I’m having a blast. For many my opinion doesn’t hold, as I’m also quick to point out I’m a super casual. I don’t play often, but I’ve always loved dailies. Know I can go to an area (daily hub) grab a ton of quest, do them and then either move along or log out.

I can solo the dalies that say it requires 3 people, so this casual doesn’t even have to group!!

This patch has given me a reason to log in daily again, instead of once or twice a week. Maybe now I’ll finally unlock the new trolls and vulpera.

I think the patch is pretty good. Not great, but not bad.

And if you’re having fun, that’s awesome - good for you!

But you can’t deny the fact that for every “I like the game post” there’s 10 more “I hate the game” posts.

The game just has an overwhelmingly negative reaction right now, and for good reason.

This sums up my opinion of the patch nicely.
