I know we criticize Blizzard's mtx but have you seen PoE mtx?

Their most expensive seasonal pack, $480 USD, came up to $768.37($88.40 tax) CAD.

That’s about 6 Brutosaurus mounts.

Path of Exile doesn’t require a sub or expansions, though, I thought.

You basically pay them what you think it’s worth.

It’s worth 6 Epic Edition expansions :joy:

Except you don’t have to buy it to play like you do with wow.

Subscription for an expac + the expac itself is like 400 bucks.

Their game is free.

It’s also entirely cosmetic. The Brutosaur is not.

There are a lot of games out there that I don’t play.

If you are sitting in :poop: do you say hey at least it’s not two :poop: ?

No it’s not so much that you have to buy it - it’s the price tag that’s ridiculously high.

Don’t look at what spectral tigers are going for

I’m still waiting on the Twitch drop.

Ion already said no.

Which like tripled the price of them.

People whine about Blizzard’s shop, but Blizzard’s shop doesn’t even make the top 10 for “worst MTX shop” for video games.

WoW’s shop is very ignorable and WoW isn’t very in-your-face about the shop, and if you think you are, go play SWTOR, and then tell me WoW is worse,

With SWTOR you get free premium currency every month, even if you aren’t paying for anything.

PoE is completely free to play. You don’t have to buy the game, buy expansions or pay a sub fee. How else are FTP games going to make money? It’s fine there.

I would actually like wow to add reasonable ilvl gear into the in-game shop. I hate gearing alts. Once my main is past a certain ilvl (say 636 or something this season), I should be able to pay $100 and have an alt ready to go at hero track ilvl.

I’m not really complaining about their prices - I’m more concerned that CAD is becoming Monopoly money lol

Time to find your local CEO?

PoE doesn’t require a sub. 'nuff said.

Oof…yea not sure what to do about that one.

You get 500 Cartel Coins a month for being a subscriber. Or you get a tiny pittance for having an authenticator. Stuff costs thousands and still doesn’t negate what Boredumb said.
