What sorts of names do Mag’har Orcs have? What naming characteristics should I consider for a new one? (Probably Hunter.)

Orcs are one of the easier characters to formulate a name for. When it comes to the first name lots of r’s, hard breaks and Sh’s is a good thing to go by should you be finding difficulty examples of this being; Garrosh, Draka, Grommash, Varok, Kashur, Drek’Thar and more. You’ve probably noticed that a lot of these names have one to two, at most three syllables something that could be of use. It’s fully possible to write a good orcish name outside of this too; should you find one more to your liking!

Yep and my hunters name is Orgru, but it’s more an homage to one of the first players I met who helped me out big time when I first started playing.

They don’t have Mag’har Orcs for some reason, but maybe because they share names with regular Orcs? :thinking:

Try using the name randomiser for ideas. I didn’t know at first but I used it recently and it seems to recognise your character’s race and generates names appropriate for it.

Explains why i got an Elf with a name that starts with a P and rhymes with Corn. When i was using the randomize option >.>

I’m not sure about the Mag’han lore but I can think of a few names off the top of my head for ya:

Gruntzhard, Filthyliz, Hairytoes, Stankypitz, Abdomidable, Badweggie… I can go on but I won’t :wink:

That reminds me of some of the funniest DK ghoul names I’ve ever seen. Pebblestealer and Glacierleaper come to mind.

Which clan is the Orc from? Laughing Skull has names like Upchuckle or Marrow; anything having to do with skeletons/bones and laughing, while other clans might be differentiated with their last name.
