I know how to fix the faction inbalance and half the problems with the game

Let us pick our faction and put the button right beside warmode and give a buff to the warmode buff that gives you an extra buff based on how imbalanced the factions are, that shows you as a percentage how much you’re getting. So if there is 1 horde and 400,000 alliance in all of wow. That guy kills 1 person in wpvp or kills 1 trash mob and he is instantly honor valor and conq capped and blizzard mails him a physical copy of thunderfury. People are just going to pick on the good one so the logical conclusion is that you have a settings tick box that auto puts you in the lowest numbers bracket but it’s default checked off so people feel like they outplayed the game by clicking on it. making it so the vast majority of players just default to the lower number. Thus there is always enough players going for the buff that the factions are default perfectly balanced.

You offset this cost to selling server transfers with 1 “premium tm” store mount that is actually a tcg mount but it’s premium because it’s not just a store mount but a mount you can’t really get anymore so people can’t use the negative of “oh it’s taking away the value” like they did with the drake twitch drop because obtaining it is still pay to win. You do this by default now so they only way to get the premium store mount is to buy tcg cards because the mount wont actually be a sore mount for like 4/6 years. It’s a win win. You can also use this system to alter aspects of the business model that are designed to create problems to sell a solution that is inherently cannibalistic to your underlying business model like faction changes, server transfers, etc. Excluding things like name changes because they don’t actually negatively affect the mechanics of the game they way a faction or server transfer does. You need more reoccurring payment systems like name or race changes not cannibalistic ones like server and faction changes or the wow token. The negative mechanical ones are the reason wow went from being the number 1 mmo in the entire world and nothing is even close to one of a dozen mmos that all have aspects that beat wow in some regard with a few exceptions. It has little to do with micrtransactions, everyone loves the steam marketplace and everyone who complains gets laughed out of the room. Arteezy is the GOAT. I don’t even know the names of the teams who run m+. It has more to do with those micrtransactions mechanically making the game worse. Add a chest and bulge slider and for every cup or inch it costs x=cost y=times purchased x=25y +5^y. With a starting value of A and 4. So it’s just low enough that people feel incentivized to get that extra cup or inch or two. Especially the Tauren players because they already need to compensate. No one cares about that stuff inside the game only in a work setting. Just look at Rust. IT’S FLAPPIN!!! And no one cares! Objectifying women by turning them into fruit is not the way to go! You will become the most profitable mmo in all of history and you will retain that playerbase by not having mechanics that cause that playerbase to leave like pay to win through the wow token or not doing server merges forcing people to transfer or quit the game. Think selling colour templates for your group finder. Less selling gold so you pay a guild to run you through mythic to get the best gear. The game is monetized in the wrong way and it’s cannibalizing the platinum goose and killing your monopoly.

This is very hard to read. You seem to be unable to focus on your main point. Maybe edit it into a logical sequence, with line breaks.

Bloody hell…clean up in the Spaghettios aisle.

Well honestly the reason why I stopped playing alliance. Literally the only reason I stopped playing alliance is because blizzard makes me have to choose one side or the other.

I can’t create stuff on horde and give it to my alliance characters. I can’t take gold that I’ve earned on my horde side and give it to my alliance characters. So why would I bother leveling stuff up on both sides? I wouldn’t it’s a waste of time.

So when blizzard stops these asinine restrictions on me being able to move stuff around between my characters on my account I will probably start playing alliance again about half the time to be honest

Sorry if that’s a wall of text I’m doing this on my phone LOL

They had another post that I gave up halfway through because it was structured the same way. OP might just be bored.

2 paragraphs is hard for you to read? My condolences.

That second paragraph seems to be unrelated to your point in the first one. Besides, it critted me for 1.6 million.

Actually, you can do this now. I’m not sure when it changed - I definitely don’t remember hearing an announcement about it - but you can send gold and items in the mail from an Alliance character to a Horde one and vice versa, the same as you can between members of the same faction. It was super convenient at the end of SL cleaning up all the random mats and BoEs I’d filled up my inventories with.

I didn’t know half of everything that’s wrong with this game is PVP-based faction imbalance.

Seriously? I’ll have to try it when I get back to the house I’m on my phone on the road right now well sitting in a parking lot waiting for the wife LOL

I honestly haven’t tried it in a long while I just assumed nothing had changed. If they start making it so I can move stuff between alliance and horde I absolutely will start playing My alliance characters again. I’ve got a ton of alliance alts that I haven’t touched in 2 years because I’m not doing the work on two different sides

Seriously! I was a little surprised when I realized it had changed… I made a bunch of bags on my tailor for all my alts and then remembered half of them were Horde. :man_facepalming: but it turns out, it works fine.

There isn’t as much of a faction imbalance anymore, actually. The Alliance is actually getting the Mercenary option for BGs now for the first time since WoD. A lot of top players are transferring to ally races because of racials or preference. Nature is healing.

A player can send regular mail between their Horde and Alliance characters on the same realm, gold and other non-soulbound items included.

Do you give yourself extra points for making your second paragraph unreadable and impossible to figure out what its point is?

As bad at this idea is it was actually toyed with in wrath. Turns out it doesn’t help.

You won’t fix the faction balance now unless you buff alliance to absurd amounts and then you have the same problem in reverse.

Best thing to do is to abolish factions and make world pvp factions that fight each other like servant of znoth, talon, fire watcher and make rewards for those.

Replace world PvP with extremely violent games of Footbomb.

You know what fixed all this for me?

Having all of my characters on the Horde.

I mean its kinda dumb warmode isnt a ffa mode to start with.

It really isn’t because the FFA areas in the game suck massively.

Nonsense they are a highlight. Take mount collectors nothing adds some excitement like that decked out pvper next to you suddenly turning hostile once your once every 2 hour mob spawns.

Why they get so lively you wouldn’t believe it.
