I just wont touch priest again until Insanity gameplay loop is back

It has issues that are even more highlighted after the amazing reworks we have seen with other classes during this TWW beta process.

I started playing Evoker and every time I log onto my priest I look at Evoker with such envy.

I wish shadow played as well as devastation. Devastation is so smooth and streamlined, all their talents play into one central theme with slight variations, but overall it’s cohesive and well done.

I actually get angry because it feels like such a huge step down to play my priest. It’s so frustrating to feel like your class/spec is on maintenance mode when everyone else gets care and attention brought to theirs

Just wanted to toss my 2 cents into the pot and say that I hate hate hated the insanity drain mechanic. It was interesting what they were going for, but it ended up feeling more frustrating than exciting. In the same vein, I’ve never enjoyed Breath of Sindragosa gameplay on Frost DK either.

I also don’t think it was fair to an entire generation of Shadow Priest enjoyers that played the game before Legion to completely change the entire way they played their spec. And people really loved Shadow iterations like Cataclysm Shadow Priest. I get it that they were going for many big redesigns in Legion, but I honestly think the voidform insanity drain style was a huge miss for most of the Shadow Priest playerbase. At least when Survival Hunter was turned into a melee spec Hunters had Marksmanship and Beast Mastery to fall back on. The single DPS spec on Priest had no such luck.

Again, just my 2 cents on the matter. I’d love if they introduced a new class entirely in Midnight expansion called Voidmancer or something, then they move some of these void ideas out of Shadow Priest and return Priests to form, but that’s just my pipedream.

Yup, pretty much.

It has been disastrous since Legion. Like a continuous fever dream that only recently have we started to recover from.

Was looking forward to finally awake from the fever dream with a new clean and updated talent tree based on the success you see in all the other classes that got major updates.

But going to have to wait a bit longer it seems.
