I just want WoW to be more fun

I have gotten to 60. Been to the Maw, collected souls. Might have downed a world boss. Collected 1000 anima. Can I spend an afternoon fishing? I am beyond chores. Now get off of my lawn :stuck_out_tongue:

That is because the thing you are asking for is extremely hard to achieve. Wow is a pretty fun game, and the only pve game that manages to remain fun for months. But it eventually gets boring and we have to wait for the next patch. That is just how things are.

Except you do have a limited amount of time to complete dailies before the game yoinks them from your log. If you don’t complete them before server reset, you have less time to complete dailies then you do most WQs.

true, it’s hard to achieve but blizzard could do it. theymake billions (or… millions? i can never keep track) of dollars all the time, with that kinda funding, overhauling the game would be easy. they could hire loads of devs to change-up the gameplay easily.

they might increase the longevity of the fun a bit but it will eventually end, there is no way around it

It doesn’t matter what you do to the game, the fun will end eventually.

The game needs to keep changing in order to keep players interested, if the changes are too fast, players get upset, if too slow, same. Also sometimes players will like the change, and sometimes not, it is not something easy to predict.

The thing is that the team is extremely behind schedule for the next patch because of covid, and there is no easy fix for this.

Daily quests was resetted on a daily basis: you technically had 24 hours to complete it (the timer was not displayed).

WQ’s are on a 12 hours to allow rotation for quest diversity. I simply do the one i want to do based on the time and rewards.

ahhh, but if they did my idea of making each class feel like different games, then when you get bored of one class you could just play another, and it would be like another game!

true true… though, changes that make things take more effort for less reward always seems to make players enjoy the changes less. folks don’t really like being slowed-down, y’know?

true, but this post isn’t really about the patch, it’s more of an in-general thing. sorry for quoting ya so much, btw.

This…right here.

Then you should make a thread about that.

And yet, that is one of the main complains of this forum, without people realizing it. The faster it is, the faster you get to your limit and then you go to the forums to complain.

true about the forum-complaints, but i’ve seen folks complain about the low anima amounts, low gear amounts/levels, etc too. just sayin it’s not all one-way.

also, i’ve tried making threads about making the classes feeling like different games, but… they tend to fade-away immediately after someone comes rushing to the forums complaining about anima costs, pvp-nonsense, mythic+ stuff, etc.

if i was a more paranoid individual, i’d say it’s blizzard employees on alt-accounts trying to make my ideas go away… :eyes:

I’ve come to the conclusion the game just needs a complete reworking. Systems, combat, mechanics, textures, customization, all of it.

So here is the thing, if gearing and anima acquisition becomes faster they will then complain about having nothing to do. And this is already a complaint here, and a very common one.

It is a balance and there is no right or wrong answer.

Yes, players on the forums tend to only respond to controversial posts, and good ones get buried fast.

Its probably quite the opposite, the blizzard employees probably ignore the dumb controversial posts entirely and focus on the small threads.

The thing is that since the development process is quite lengthy, it takes at least an year for them to react to something they like.

What are you even talking about?

World quest are daily quests. They are the same thing. The same quests everyday. They just rotate on timers to change up which quests are available at any given time.

“Fun” is subjective though, so you kind of have to write a post about the changes you want if you want to see changes.

To one person, “fun” could be logging in for an hour, hitting a button, and getting a piece of gear. To another person, “fun” could be playing the game endlessly for hours, days, and weeks, just so you can get that .5% upgrade through dungeon grinds. Different strokes for different folks.

That being said, I too wish WOW was more fun, but sometimes I feel like it’s me who has changed and not the game. I was a teenager when I started playing, and now I’m over 30. That’s a long time for anything to stay the same.
