I just want to say wow

please don’t roast me if this is regurgitated stuff I’m posting, I don’t use forums and mid game I felt compelled to post…

I don’t know where this post belongs but here it is.

I know everyone absolutely tore BFA to shreds and the systems within are understandably frustrating, Believe me I’m coming back after almost 10 years and the thought of me ever catching up to 475+ IL before the next expansion seems unlikely, I shouldn’t have to feel that way with 8 months left.

For the record I’m no Blizzard shill.

BUT…As I play BFA my mind is blown by the scenery and the zones and effort they put in. The amount of time I literally out loud said “Wow this is so amazing…what an unbelievable game.” was crazy. I’m usually the type to absolutely smash through the text and skip everything to get to end game…I have pretty bad ADD and I’m medicated for it…I sat through every cut scene and was genuinely immersed on the flight paths/ferries…or the skybox’s with the aurora borealus while I’m saving my turtles. I’ve played other games trying to feel what I recently have felt in these last 2 weeks back on WoW…Assassin’s Creed definitely gave me immersion sensations at points just because of the breathtaking graphics and historical nature to the game. But single player is meh.

This is quite the rant but I just want to pat the Voice actors, Artists and Quest team on the back…Great great great job I wish I could shake all of your hands.

This could be a tip for people who don’t see what I se: Because I’ve given up on the thought of catching up naturally I’m focusing on leveling alts and getting old annoying reps while this corona bonus is active not so worried about the meta and WOW am I enjoying it.
So many people missed the beautiful game because of the ticking time bomb dailies and chores that BFA came with but when I slowed it down and stopped thinking meta, I totally was impressed at the rest of the game. It’s a shame they didn’t give the players what they wanted because this Expansion really brought it on Visual aesthetics.

WoW’s art and music teams are the sole lifeboats keeping this game above-water.

The art and music departments really outdid themselves in BFA.

I also enjoy the BFA quests. The classic quests have a handful that are interesting, but most are kill X of this or that or gather this or that. The BFA quests are very engaging.

The level design, art, music and usually sound design are the things you ‘don’t’ hear people complaining about in bfa. Unfortunately none of that will be sufficient to make the gameplay itself any more tolerable - especially as a returning player, who hasnt already sunk time into the essence grinds (Some classes having their best essences in mechagnoob, nerdjatar, or pee wee pee) so you get to put your nose to the grindstone in between bouts of playing RNG hoping for your BiS corruption effect on a upgrade item.

Yeah enjoy the music and artwork while it still distracts you from the pain.

Yup. Art team … Voice actors and music was solid and big up for those. The first time through… Most was great. I think I just really disliked Stormsong with those quilboars … So blah …

The art team always knocks it out of the park when it comes to environments. Beautiful. ARs, heritage armor, warfront armor, mounts, all amazing.

BFA raid gear on the other hand…

BFA isn’t a bad game. It’s just an mmo with normal mmo problems.

If you cant fly yet. I highly recommend taking a walk through Boralus and just getting lost in the streets and waterways. There are about 3-4 bars and countless interiors in that city.

It’s a seriously awesome city for roleplay of all kinds. Luxurious noble gatherings to seedy back alleys and beautifully soft lit lamps light the streets at night. I will miss this city so much when we’re forced into the shadowlands hubs.

@Suniza Yeah, I’m almost done with my Path Finder finishing up Rustbolt and this has forced me to do that and I am so in love with the game aesthetics. So cool. I’m happy being in catch up mode, I wish the entire game felt like this even to current high end players.

The art and music are the only parts of BfA that you don’t have to scrape off the bottom of your shoe with a stick.

Art team always carries. I don’t think there’s many people who will complain Zandalar and Kul’tiras aren’t beautiful zones to explore.

Music this expansion, especially Alliance has been just fantastic.

Most beautiful music ever put into the game.

Boralus is the only part of the expansion that I didn’t care for the art or music. The rest of the entire expansion looks and sounds great.

Personally the only music in WoW I ever liked is Anduin/Varian’s theme. And of course Daugther of the Sea which is fantastic.

You will find most people that bash bfa will agree that the artwork/music are the gem between all the hot garbage delivered by this expansion, the raids are ok too but the art team delivers constantly.

Yeah people have praised the art/music/cinematic teams and generally appreciate the work they put into this and other expansions. So you’re kinda preaching to the choir on this topic  But I’m sure they’re always happy to hear people appreciate what they do. I like that each zone has its own personality/vibe, personally.

Just remember. The complaining you see on the forum is a rather small portion of the users that play the game. Vocal minority as you will. Most of the people playing and enjoying the game never come or use the forums.

Did you race change to Draenei? Azuremyst is the music playing on loop in my heart.

Ikr! The view near Waycrest Manor is just breathtaking.

Ugh why do you have to put this in the same sentence.

I play with the music turned off, I started as horde (not on a monk, long time ago, my monk was always draenei) and all the music wasn’t really too interesting, outside mulgore, so I just listen to songs on youtube at times. I’ve palyed azuremyst over a 12 times but never heard it Hmm let me check…

That is very nice, I like how they added the flutes there to allude at the draenei satyr-like appearance. Still not something I’d listen for long though.

Not saying the wow music is bad, it’s clearly well done and beautifully crafted, but most WoW music isn’t exciting enough for my liking outside those 2 I mentioned.
