I just unsubbed (fix your game)

I can’t comment on the Hunter bugs because I didn’t start playing Hunter until right before Cata and haven’t touched it in Classic yet.

As for the “must be outdoors” thing, that’s definitely Vanilla. The terrain is absolutely one of the biggest improvements moving forward throughout the expansions. Hills become much easier to climb also.

Infernals could be used to grief your own faction, so not surprised this was changed.

Never experienced any fishing bugs so far, though I’m only 225.

Demo shout/roar bug was fixed.

Pretty sure the Blood of Heroes bug is fixed.

Mobs absolutely could drop no loot in Vanilla. It depends on the location as well.

About Vanish breaking and similar issues… I’m not positive but this may be related to spell batching, I don’t know. And I also don’t really remember what issues like this were like in Vanilla, it’s possible it was the same. A similar issue I’ve personally had is Fear into Life Drain. Sometimes the mob still hits me while feared and my Life Drain takes spell pushback. I kinda feel like this could happen during Vanilla but it’s just been too long ago.

The most annoying bug I have revolves around wanding. I can be wanding, and move to stop the autocast and begin spamming a different spell, but I just keep wanding - I once moved about TWENTY YARDS chasing a mob only to start wanding again. I don’t get it. I’ve tried /stopcast or /stopattack or whatever macros but they don’t seem to help. But I also don’t fully remember how it worked during Vanilla so /shrug

thought you were somewhat mildly legit until reading this.

You’re saying a pserver that implemented their own ideas and QoL fixes that has nothing to do with the original game, is the reason you’re blaming the current game for the bugs the pserver has changed?

Thats like getting mad at a shoe company for making new shoes that arent worn in yet, so they give you blisters for the first few weeks and thats somehow the shoe manufacturers problem…

Edit And just for some clarity, BC/Wotlk servers still maintain the vanish bug where you get broken out if you have a melee on you as you dont drop target until a second after vanishing, but you get the vanish buff which is broken by damage the second you press it. and even then most people will just FoK/Flare/Frost Nova/Typhoon Ect (i could literally go on for another 50 spells) to break you from stealth. Just Deal with a 15 year old game which doesnt have current WoWs QoL Daycare systems implemented.

I meant that the successs of private servers is what directly resulted in classic

You really think classic would be here randomly after 15 years without Nost and LH?

Get real dude what world do you live in. Like it or not, classic is directly trying to emulate LH and Nost in a retail setting since that is what has driven vanilla demand.

Like it or not that’s reality. and that’s why people who meme on private servers and the people who played/play on them are objectively hilarious

Some serious grasping at straws in this thread.

Blizzard should seriously consider removing posting privileges of canceled accounts. It would solve this mess. I don’t really see how the opinion or rant of someone who’s already quit is viable, desirable, or worth taking up bytes in the forum.

These people didn’t even bug test properly. That’s why they didn’t get fixed before the beta. They ranted instead of provided real feedback. They insulted devs who tried to get more information (read the OP’s own links and read what he said in response to the blue saying they’re working on a fix, assuming its still there since it was reported).

Supreior because it was free.

That and it was objectively a superior experience.

But yeah being free also is massive bonus

Hmmm … or maybe it’s superior because of rampant hacking that takes place due to the fact that without access to the client source code you can’t build into the server emulation any hacking checks that are worth a crap. Or maybe, it’s how honest and forthright the server admins are … like that guy on Elysium who was caught running his own Gold Selling ring and cheating to help his guild on the server he was administering.

Oh yeah, them Private Servers are the best!!

Free doesn’t always mean superior lol. In the case of private servers sure, they had their dedicated team to provide the best experience any private server could but it doesn’t make it superior.

That said, there was some others in here pointing out how Blizz should be held to a higher standard and I am board with that. But no game - including those dedicated private servers - are free without bugs or even hackers. I don’t see many hackers nowadays in modern WoW but I know private servers had em more constantly, as did Vanilla WoW. My favorite was always the speedrunners through Winterspring lol

So why aren’t you posting this in the Classic Bug forum? No one here can do anything about your issues.

I’ve addressed to why this is. He didn’t want to bug test. He wanted an early access and didn’t realize there’s a process for beta testers. Now he’s mad and claiming he’s going to quit over it. Mainly over because he somehow thinks Blizzard told him to L2P when they actually took pity and responded to him.

Hes got a similar attitude going on with his other post lol

Elysium isn’t the be-all end-all of private servers, and had an extremely crappy reputation and low population due to the stuff the admins there pulled. And hacking/exploiting was no more common on the main two vanilla ones (LH and Kronos) than it is on classic, even less so considering the layering exploit that only recently got fixed on classic.

If you believe that, then bless your heart you sweet summer child. Ah to be so naive to think hacking wasn’t rampant on LH and Kronos lol…

It was no more than on classic right now, as evidenced by the thousands of people who took advantage of the layering exploit, people fish-botting, tons of people multiboxing (and you know the only reason blizz allows that exploitative behavior is the additional monthly payments they get), etc. Do you really think that just because blizz released their own servers that hackers are gonna say “lul guess we better go home, nothing can be done now”?

You do realize that they had almost 0 anti cheat system in place, right? The way people got banned was from video evidence or a GM seeing it. I knew someone who hacked on Kronos and LH for the entire life of those servers and never got caught. At least classic has warden, it’s not bulletproof but it’s not like leaving the doors of a prison unlocked with no guards and expecting people to stay.

I am a Hunter and don’t want you to use my class as an excuse to throw yourself an attention seeking party. You’re leaving, that’s nice. Enjoy your new-found free time. Preferably off these forums. You know, since you unsubbed and all.

Yeah. I laughed at “I’m quitting, but I’m keeping my gold on a bank alt”. Dudes not quitting…He’s just being a melodramatic whiny forum baby. This definitely feels like the real vanilla forum experience at least.

I’ve been playing Hunter and trapping is a bit clunky, but it’s not absolutely gamebreaking. My macro works 80% of the time to trap even when a rogue gets the jump and is all over me. BGs/honor system aren’t even released yet…most world PvP now is completely 1 sided opportunity ganks where getting the trap off isn’t even going to matter.

The multibox excuse that blizzard loves the sub money always gets me. How many multiboxers do you know?

I’ve seen 1 warlock multiboxer in my 7 days played so far. Being generous, that’s what, an extra $15/mo for every 500 normal players? I’m sure blizzard would be devastated to lose that subscription money.

Stop being ignorant. Its been confirmed bugged via a blue post.

This quote alone makes you sound like a self absorbed buffoon. Tell me, how long was Classic in development?

15 years you say?

Yeah I dont think you even understand what youre saying. Quit the game already you smelly trogg.

Also we get it. You’re upset with some bugs, so are others. They are being reported and worked on. If you think the beta was to test bugs youre mistaken. The beta was a glorified advertisement campaign.

Regardless. You make some good points, you make some bad points and generally come off as arrogant and unlikable. I even saw someone who was also unlikable post here and flame you. Kind of ironic.
