I mean I have no idea what to do. I’m sure someone will tell me, and my ADHD brain wont understand it, but this is exactly why i quit DF shortly after hitting 70 or whatever. the crafting isnt a cool concept (imo). it isnt fun, it isnt fun having to go do the crates, it isnt fun having to figure out how to get the tier pieces. it isnt fun having to buy a wow token to buy all this crafted crap. I dont know what an embellishment is or how to find it. I really hope when mop rolls around you guys see the problem here. In mop you bg’d, got whatever honor set was there at the time, then you did arena, and got the arena gear. you didnt have to waste any time doing any of this.
In wod however you started the BS of “hey have fun doing ashran in hopes you possibly get your bis stat trinket that we could easily just put on the vendor but we gotta force you to do this content nobody wants to do”.
WHY? why after THIS many years have you not figured out to just let us do some bgs, then q arena? bring pvp power back, or resil. this is sooooo disheartening. And sure maybe i am overreacting, maybe ill get it done and realize it was only 50% as bad as i thought it was to do all this crap. but why have those things in place in the first place? i know for sure im not the only person who sees having to farm all these bgs, then go swipe my card to get enough gold to craft all this gear that ill just have to recraft next season when my class gets completely reworked and i have to end up playing boring as hell fury spec that i dont wanna play. can u guys just stop with all the nonsense and let us play arena?
Oh here’s another thing mop did. Once you hit like 25k conquest earned (essentially a full set on one character) You unlocked buying that gear with honor FOR ALL YOUR ALTS, which had me, and im sure Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of others insta boosting 90s, and playing endlessly. crazy how that works!
Sorry, but i dont accept this. This is complete devolution from an expansion that came out 13 years ago. I’ll leave you to wonder why they’d do that. nice bait tho.
(also to expand on the farm gold comment) imagine me wasting MORE time farming gold in an expansion I barely want to play simply because arena is dead everywhere else.
I mean wow pvp is the most convoluted nonsense pvp you could pick to play. There are hundreds of current games that are far better choices…
But as the poster after your op said, can just wowhead or icy-veins to see what and how to embellishments. Its literally just crafted gear. But yeah its why wow pvp is niche, it takes too much to get and stay relevant.
You cant just pop in and go, its why I stopped with pvp since BFA, its a pointless exercise in frustration. Only for the sadists who somehow like the mess mini game.

Also is it not just farm BGs > get gear? That’s what I’ve always done, 665 ilvl.
in mop it is, here i have no clue what it is. theres pve gear, auction house crafting gear, things you gotta put in to make that gear go from green to epic, i got no idea what it is
then theres conquest gear (60 conq a win btw is INSANE, in mop its 180 a win in 2s)
then theres the higher ilvl gear from higher rating
In MoP the ability to get a 100% rep bonus for your entire ACCOUNT after hitting revered makes it more accessible than anything WoD, Legion, BfA, SL, DF or WW has to offer.
MoP also had reforging, so you could turn a horrible statted piece of gear into something that actually helped before getting a good statted piece.
Uh, you guys do know the reason they added that catch up because at MOP start you had to grind multiple rep’s for MONTHS to get the necessary items you needed and you had to grind every single day without fail.
They added the catch up for alts for nobody wanted to do that insane grind on an alt.
