Cuz League of Legends players will play it and LoL is the most toxic gaming community I was ever apart of over a span of years.
Even Halo 2 on XBox chat wasn’t that bad… Okay, maybe it was as there was way less moderation back then.

I think overall the MMO gaming space has changed. It feels like all MMO’s simply co-exist now, instead of competing with one another. Probably because it’s less about sub money and more about shop cosmetics etc. I’m sure once the League MMO comes out, it’ll acquire its own dedicated playerbase, and a casual playerbases that dips in and out. It feels like most MMO’s are like that nowadays, even WoW.
BDO, ESO, GW2, FF14, WoW, seems like every one just share a large pool of the same players. Those that dip in and out of their games, each with their own dedicated players / whales. But they all make that good shop money from them all.

eh, that’s hard to say, most MMOs don’t have an established IP behind them, no established fans to draw from, league is a pretty damn big name to build an MMO on. it’ll absolutely have a strong core playerbase that are already invested in the world.
It’s gonna be a long while before the riot MMO actually makes it to launch, but I don’t think it’ll be a dud on launch.

The game is so early in development that it doesn’t have a name and we have nearly no info on it. Maybe wait till it even exists in some tangible form before worrying about it being a competitor or not.

LMAO though the years with being with WoW for over 18 yrs myself…I have seen all kinds of posts on the Next WoW killer game that will knock wow out of the field…here it is going on its 19th year of being a Live game and still nobody has knocked them out…
Didn’t lol start the trend of hiding its text box due to all the eye cancer? I’ve noticed a few other pvp games doing that, in the case of smite it quite literally let me play the game again as I play with a controller and kind of suck and all the “reeee report the traitor!!111!!” spam I’d get at the end of every match kind of upset the vibe.
All I know about lol is that even the people who enjoy it will passionately go off about how bad the community is. It never even occurred to me to try it, but not just for that reason, it had more to do with the fact that it looks kind of like an RTS and I can’t stand that kind of gameplay. Tried heroes of the storm, for instance, I just don’t like that format at all. At least smite is kind of like this only with collision.
Because it’ll be Greg Street’s mmo that will be the WoW killer!!! Though their some WoW Developers who made WildStar and that sadly fizzled out.

there all nice things to play when wow is driving you mad or died on hardcore and it hurts to make a new toon so soon. or wow is in maintenance for longer than usual and people need something to play
I mean I love the new Game Palia and all but too consider it a WoW killer…NO…not happening…I’ll say there will never be one MMO game that will ever out due WoW…WoW set its Mark in the history of MMO games.

The only reason ff14 succeeded as it did is cuz it didn’t aim to kill WoW.
Poor rift, aoc, swtor, nw, and eso… They aimed for the King and missed. Never miss, as you only get one shot.

Oh you sweet summer child, you have yet to experience rust or h1z1. You wanna see toxic those are the games to play. A long grind, pvp game thats starts you back at sqaure 1 after a loss and has 0 moderation. Thats where toxicity thrives

I had a terrible time with a MUD RPG group popular in the early 2000s. I don’t remember the name but everyone at work was playing it and they were IRL hostile.
Their community board was hostile and unless you sold your soul to them, they wouldn’t engage with you
