Disclaimer the Bee and the old “Battle tank” mounts from the AQ40 event in classic are okay, along with butterflies and moths, whatever.
But i genuinely don’t want nasty spider with crab claw mount or a twitching spider thing, I farmed for that stupid blood tick thing in BFA and i don’t even use it, it’s gross, i should have probably just sold it.
The laughing skull wasp came with a bundle several years back where you could get all items “retiring” for like 10 bucks. It looks gross, rarely use it.
Maybe we can get a stormrook but probably not since it was a pre-order bonus, “here’s your bugs!”
art team did a good job though just don’t want bugs, simple as.

Then don’t get the bugs? There are plenty of mounts to get that are less the insect variety.

Just seems to be the majority of them this expansion. Like, i’m genuinely not even going to get the rep ones simple because i don’t want it in my inventory even though I should for the collection LOL.

Literally nothing forces you to ride the bugs, but it’s pretty thematic for an underdark expansion.

Just got the weaver spider mount. I don’t even have a fear or dislike for spiders, but the way that thing is animated is so creepy.

I like bugs. They’re cool. With their plentiful legs.
They’re like the most authentic spider designs they’ve ever done, it’s amazing.

Pretty sure I’d be dishonorably discharged from the army of the light if they caught me riding around on one of those horrendous vinegroon mounts from Azj Kahet.

They are authentic. Maybe that’s why it creeps me out. I never see a spider walk along irl. Theyre either still, or running.
The walking animation is methodical and slow it gives me the heebie-jeebies.
I tend to take spiders outside rather than kill them, but these things in the game make my skin crawl. Those claw spider things, are based on whip spiders or “king spiders” and aren’t technically spiders at all, but still aracnids.
Will NOT be getting heritage undercrawler either way.

if you don’t like bug mounts…do not use one nor farm one…problem solved.
I don’t kill them too. Unless they’re looking exotic.
At my last job their was a gorgeous web built by a spider. Things body was at least an inch big. Nobody wanted to kill him because he was taking care of some bugs.
If something like that crawls on me though its lights out.
