It’s forbidden by most civilized (or in the case of the Horde, semi-civilized–Hey, I have no illusions about my faction) peoples. People who are doing necromancy are generally considered bad people. (Death Knights notwithstanding, and face it, they haven’t been popular with most of the citizenry historically.)
That’s why when we start a new toon (that’s not Allied Races), if we start at the reach, one of the most important things we do is beat the crap out of some Ogres, because they’re being bad ogres, because Necromancers.
Also they can drop an extra bag which is useful for new players.
Herbert is insane and there are other magics that are forbidden besides Necromancy. Dwarf, she’s remarking on how the Ogres are using necromancy and shivers in disgust.
It really isn’t the same. Necromancers are more then just summoning a single ghoul. You should play some other games with real necromancers in it then come back and talk about how DK is anything like those.
They have a spell called Army of the Dead, one of their abilities Apocalypse summons undead minions by using festering rot debuff on the enemy. They use disease, dark magic. The only thing they don’t do is wear cloth and fight at ranged.
