I just can't find a main

I really can’t.

Been struggling since Shadowlands launched and I can’t seem to find anything that grabs my attention for more than a few hours

I’ve tried:

Mage
Warlock
Shadow Priest
Disc Priest
Ele Shaman
Warrior
Tiny bit of Hunter

Last expansion I played Shadow Priest, and was probably 1 of like 6 people that actually liked voidform… Ever since then, I’ve really been struggling to find anything I enjoy

Am I just burned out? I want to play and have fun, but everything I pick up just feels so bland

I’m sad :frowning:

Try Subtlety Rogue.

And Warlock is bangin. Not sure what you didn’t like about it :stuck_out_tongue:

Try a Druid. I just switched to a Druid this patch after maining Disc Priest since Cataclysm.

You are probably just burnt out man. Same thing happened to me to and I quit the game for about a month now. Worrying about what to main hasn’t been a issue since :slight_smile:

I think you should revisit shadow priest.

it is the best class in the game

Kyrian Prot Paladin is a blast. Affliction Warlock with the SoC build is a hella fun in Mythic +. Resto Shaman is also quite a bit of fun, and every covenent is viable with that spec.

I tried.

I just don’t like how sluggish it feels without voidform cycles.

I know everyone hated it, but for me it made shadow feel like it was always in a burn phase.

I miss that “rush” for lack of a better word

Objectively best sounding and looking abilities in the game
Objectively best gear sets in the game
Objectively best class theme
range dps, melee dps and healer, doesnt have an enh tank spec yet but will again next expac.

At 220+ the crit/haste keep you in the cycle for a LONG time. in dungeons swap searing nightmare and enjoy the fact u can VT 4 mobs and give a giant group a painful searing nightmare.

I promise you will get a big rush and way higher feeling than all the melee there and a comparable feeling to destruction warlock/mage during burst phases.

What type of content do you play? Im slightly biased toward melee.

Tanking any content: IMO Blood DK. You have an answer to everything, and nothing feels better than death striking for 80% of your hp while making your healer poop his pants. Even has raid cds in brez and AMZ.

Raiding: loving assa rogue, blood dk, and havoc dh.

M+: Havoc DH and NF Arms warior. NF Arms in particular is super fun with signet legendary. Your CD’s all line up and you’ll pull 30k burst dmg on packs every 2 mins.

PvP: Assa rogue + Arms warrior. Hemotoxin is actually busted for melting healers in bgs/arena.

Out of all of them, NF Arms warrior is probably the easiest and funnest. Being a good rogue/blood dk is a bit harder but just as fun when you get the hang of it.

Ranged, I like demo lock and BM hunter. BM is also busted in PVP right now.

Could also just take a break and play rl for a while.

Well when I had a main I ran mythics (got KSM) and ran heroic raids with my guild. Even pushed into mythic raiding a bit

I’d like to return to that… problem is I can’t seem to focus on anything for more than 3 hours :expressionless:

I think I’m just going to have to try everything until something clicks

if you enjoyed the ‘burn phase’ portion of shadow, have you played around much with Arcane Mage? Or if that doesn’t do it for you, what doesn’t appeal to you about Arcane?

I have not tried arcane yet

I sort of dropped it when we got the new animations because I hated them so much

Maybe I’ll give it a try

do beast mastery hunter, its pretty fun when your whole rotation can be done while moving, a casters dream
