to farm the ulduar mount. mostly because of how frustrating the yogg saren fight is with 0 keepers mechanic wise.
I just ran there occasionally and got it one day. After 634 full clears of ICC, spending every single Tuesday on it, I no longer take all my 60+ characters anywhere—it’s exhausting.
The most tedious mounts for me were Invincible and the Time-Lost Proto-Drake. TLPD forced me to stay awake for an entire week, monitoring two game worlds with four phases each.
My frustration with it is down to rarity not recording my kill count so I never knew i did something wrong in regards to collecting the mount
After spending too many hours of my life I can never get back farming and refarming those rare drop mounts, I decided it was just a stupid waste of precious time for me to keep doing that.
I may work on a particularly nice mount if it isn’t too annoying (so no way to unending puzzle solving mounts) but otherwise I’ll get what’s in the game to earn via a more sane method and save my time for less annoying persuits. The rare mount drop thing has just got a very tired idea for me after so many years.
The Yogg Saron encounter is not frustrating for me, it’s that there is no skip available. It’s the main reason I have put that one off so long. I did the Invincible farm and Tusks farm the long way and have opted for shorter/quicker grinds since then.
But with the goblin stuff going on I’ve been on a mech mount farming kick so I might just have to
Farming anything in WoW is a huge waste of time if you don’t actually enjoy the farming.
After all the things brought back or added to the TP or made infinitely easier to get, why bother?
How many people ran SoO for tusks hundreds of times before it was added to a vendor in remix lol
I hear ya. However it is easy. I got mims head in time. And not gonna lie but it was a great sense of accomplishment especially knowing i did the raid in pure hard mode when it was current but on the flip side, once I got and was happy I was kinda sad because I was done with that and after all the attempts I wasn’t (and actually still haven’t) going to go back anymore because I did it… oh wait. They removed our achievements from the armory? Sorry I was going to say how many attempts it took me but guess I can’t now.
Anyways, my point is, have fun now. Yes it sucks, but it is a bitter sweet thing because I have NO desire to run ulduar again. I have all the achievements (most back then) but have mims head now too. I don’t even do the extra side boss algalon anymore.
Seriously, I got it in one day using an army of alts on multiple accounts and shared lockouts. Bring all your characters to the entrance and park them there. Get a friend to clear up to the last boss and walk out. Have your friend invite your characters one at a time, then pass lead after they enter. Kill and repeat.
It’s a part of the game I’ve never been able to persist in, solo farming. I get too bored too fast. I’ll try something a few times then do something else.
It was always the very first encounter of Ulduar that irritated me. I’d power through anyway and eventually got the mount in around 100 runs.
Of course, that was before all the mogs got saved account wide and now mogs alone aren’t enough motivation to go through all that again.
Well, you know what they say: Yologg Saron
Are you max level? The tentacles are annoying, but you at least shouldn’t take any damage at max level.
no its the stupid encounter mechanic. keep dying before the 52 seconds is up because of mobility issues and the encounters bugging out.
Hmm…ok, I think I know what you mean. I’m away all weekend and unable to log in, otherwise I’d join you if you needed help.
i think i managed on my demon hunter a couple times but only just barely.
@luxuria
Is there a warlock pet that can pounce or charge?
the succubus used to. im not demonolgy so i dont have access to felguard.
The only tips I can catch is switching to an affliction spec with some success with an imp will defeat yogg saron.
{{{{ People need to try farming for the BoE drop in Stormsong Valley. Called “The Glazer.” If people think low drops rates on anything is bad try farming for this. Trying going 8 hours non stop downing mobs to get this. You will pass out from boredom and get sick of the place before you see the BoE. You can easily down 50,000 mobs and not see it . You can spend all day farming and not get it. By the time you get it your mind would be so numb from grinding you probably forget why you wanted it in the first place. }}}}

Also that last boss stinks in Ulduar. I can see why no one wants to do it. Have to deal with that mechanics. If you need help Bread I can help you get your mount from it.
