Hi blizzard,
To completely express myself as a true holy priest I need a talent option to gain lightwell once again… how can I identify myself as a holy priest without having one of the most iconic abilities ever created for the holy priest. Please add this as an option so I can feel and express myself from other priest.
Which version? The click one, or the auto-smart heal one?
The click one we could use while stunned 
I prefer click, however they could design it like Aunduins lightwell in heroes of the storm that would be pretty cool as well.
I really, REALLY don’t want my performance to be dependent on “is the text of my macro passive-aggressive enough to get my party/raid members to actually click the damn thing?”
Passive Lightwell would be ok, sure, whatever. Otherwise I’ll pass.

With how mana regen works, our current toolkit, and our mastery I dont think it would get to a point where we need to bug people to use it tbh. So long as the HoT isnt so OP. Heck it could be brought back as something only we can use, or as a way to give us some utility instead of doing healing:
-Place at the start of a raid boss and it will auto rez people if it’s a wipe
-Create a manastone similar to warlock healthstones.
-Give out of combat mana/health regen bonuses and a small vers buff
-Fires off a small holy nova around it if we smite an enemy near it, or copies the spell to another target.
…iunno heh.
It would just be neat to see it come back somehow, even if it’s super weak and just put in the toolkit for fun and/or personal use.
Lolwell even has its own urban dictionary section from 2007.
Yah check out Anduins lightwell from heroes of the storm… it could either create a golden area of effect that players can stand in and be healed rather than click? This should def be brought back as an option on the talent tree though
Honestly if they just added it back to the base toolkit even as a self use thing Id be a happy puppy. They could put a talent to make it an “auto fire” cooldown and it could work, but I think even the devs have moved away from lightwell entirely. Unless there is someone as nostalgic as us in the dev tram, heh. Would deff be more interesting than anything in our current lvl 45 row.
Personally I just liked having that HoT as an option for myself because it could be used while stunned. Gave us something.
Looks like talents are changing up quite a bit though for DF, so I cant say for sure how or if itll even fit into holy if it comes out with massive changes.
The idea of a lightwell providing out of combat buffs and/or a wipe reset tool would be kinda neat, and not OP or mandatory to use/bug people to use. Some random utility to make us useful but also not rip other classes utility/spells/etc. I think it would be neat to have it give us mana stones like warlock healthatones heh
I understand the chances of seeing it again are slim. One can dream though.
I think Aunduins lightwell from heroes of the storm would be awesome but any lightwell they bring back would be awesome

It could function like healing rain or druid shroom. Maybe give it a passive that crits cause it to “over flow” or something with a burst heal.
Just curios, is there a reason that you don’t play Classic SOM or even BC Classic because obviously…you’re favorite spell and fantasy priest is more relevant there. Kinda feels dumb to request something that indeed does exist, just not on the version of the game you are requesting it on.
Lightwell always seemed like the least valuable spell to me - but then again I got away from playing Holy almost right away - even from the beginning before Disc was viable. I’m not too fond of Lightwell because it relies on players to click it to be a viable spell and generally doesn’t work out.
