Yeah, but will we be fine in S3, S4, or S5?
The larger point I was trying to make is that high sustained damage and attrition based/wear-down style comps that are typical of arms warr and other classes deserve their place among the hierarchy. They are not brainless and they require just as much skill and decision making as setup burst style comps.
For too long skill has only been viewed through the lens of setup => CC chain => burst guy to zero in seconds. There is more room to showcase skill than that. Alternative strategy comps need to be just as viable and not nerfed into the ground. Including only setup burst style comps as the indicator skillful play is shortsighted and narrow.
For example, an RMP team uses an intricate CC chain to setup a burst window and kill a target. This is seen as skillful and worthy of praise. However, a WLD team doesn’t rely so much on high burst but maintaining high sustained pressure instead until the opposing team melts or makes a mistake. This is seen as less skillful even though the warr and lock have to play at a high level to maintain large amounts sustained pressure.
