I hope Manduin emerges from the Shadowlands

And have a fight scene every cutscene he appears in. I miss Varian.

Everybody does.

I think it’s going to be funny to see how he reacts to Turalyon and Genn basically having declared an all out war against the horde and have destroyed Thunder Bluff and The Darkspear Isles using the Army of Light’s deathstar ship.

That would be appropriate, apparently the Vindicaar has an Orbital Strike but can only be used once every 2 years, so I guess we give an evacuation warning, blow up Ogrimmar, summon the Lightbound and unify Azeroth, GGs.

I really see us coming back to a wartorn Azeroth while we are in the Shadowlands.

I’m also going to wager a… hmm… 20 year timeskip.

I wouldn’t be surprised, but I mean, I am pretty sure the citizens of Azeroth are like Krogans in the Mass Effect universe, they were bred for a troublesome habitat full of danger and unless there are a threat bigger than themselves, they start destroying themselves.

varian is the reason i left the alliance, his daughter is the reason i dont come back. well, every alliance leader really.

I dont
Never cared for the guy
Always liked anduin though. Still do.
His death was for the better in my opinion

Ion already confirmed that time is not slower in the shadowlands and there will not be a time skip

Didn’t he say that time in Shadowlands work differently in the Shadowlands however? I remember there was a whole discussion about this.

Time feels different but flows the same
Think of it like how when you are bored at work and there is an hour left time seems to drag on. The hour is still the same as every other hour, but to you it feels slower.

I can work with that. He leaves the Shadowlands, gets in a fight with a hobo, dies, and gets replaced with someone more interesting.

So the Shadowlands are actually hell and the Maw is… Heller?

my personal opinion is they made up the time feels different stuff so they can have different stories go at different paces and not have to worry about how it affects the timeline

“Oh no that story might have felt like it should have lasted a year but it was actually only a week” “that story felt like it lasted 20 minutes but it was a week as well” that way they can have all stories connect whenever they want to.

Don’t wait for epic moments for alliance members in Shadowland.
The best we can have will be another event like the one we had in BfA, where we will be valets of the horde. Again.

I’d have Anduin die if it meant Varian could come back. At least Varian was confident in himself unlike Anduin who is racked with self doubt. The Alliance needs a King, not a scared boy.

Right. I am surprised the Light hasn’t abandoned Anduin already considering how many times he doubts his actions are just.

“The Zandalari king is dead, with this the Alliance will earn a moment of respite before pushing back the Horde”
Anduin - “But at what cost, so many dead, was it really worth it?”

Hell yeah it was worth it, just imagine the full might of the Zandalari fleet joining the Horde, Alliance would suffer more than Kul’Tiran sailors ever did on the hands of the Dragonmaw Clan during the Second War.

I’m sure he will take a personal journey in the maw with his dad and even arthas and become a stronger person for it or something hilarious like that

The biggest thing about Anduin that irks me how he is so adamant about “peace” yet during the table meeting with the other Alliance leaders after Tyrande rightfully calls him out for being naive for believing his peace treaty would forever keep the Horde from starting another war, Genn tells him that Tyrande is right and the Horde will come again and nothing will stop them says this “peace” is the only way to build a better future and it will work, and then immediately after saying this he mumbles “it has to…” and how it says it makes me believe even he doubts it himself despite him being the one adamant about it. If he cannot even bring himself to believe it, why should anyone else? compare that to Varian, if Varian said he was going to do something, he did it. There was no self doubt, no um and ah, it was done. It’s hard to follow a King who doesn’t even believe in himself or his actions.
