This reminds me of the days of “I want to ride My Little Pony” and look at the scenery the whole expansion, therefore no one should be allowed to fly their mounts.

delves really does suck, but i’m not saying get rid of them when this is solo content, chances are, they’re wrapping the original story up, once finished i’m thinking blizz might be focusing more on being able to play the game solo rather than with groups and just maintain the game until the playerbase dries up, i say keep delves, might be the only means of being able to gear up one day once raiding is no longer a thing
I feel we are missing the obvious question:
Why are we blaming the delve instead of the friend?

I was laughing so hard I needed my inhaler to breath again.
Many people have been asking for solo world end game content for years and that World Quests aren’t it.
Delves are to fill that role giving those who don’t do PvP, Raiding, or M+ a end game activity that gives (from the vault on Tier 10) Heroic raid ilvl gear.

Yeah, if they don’t add some other things to do out in the open world besides a few measly wq’s, won’t be hangin around long. Not doing another Wod with nothing to do but instanced content for two years. Just bring on Legion classic already. Delves might be aimed more at the solo gameplay which is fine, but it’s still nothing but another instanced mini dungeon torghast reboot.

What you can do and what you should do are two different things.
Delves are not locked to solo players but that is what they were built for. There’s no reason to lock it to 1 player, you can do things wrong if you want to. Just like you can 2 man a 5 man. But if you choose to push keys in a 2 person group people won’t take you seriously when you cry about it.

I don’t think they will stop making group content whatsoever. The team has grown and their content cadence is insane right now where we can have new PvP modes and maps, new raids, new M+ dungeons (and affix overhaul), AND end game solo content.
The other difficulties aren’t there yet just be patient

Yeah you got to wonder about the processing power of people who can’t figure out that stuff like delves are being added as something people can do Solo or they can do in a group instead of always having to group. LOL

It’s like if you don’t want to do optional content then just don’t do it and stop crying about it. Some of us enjoy that daily crap

I get what they are (similar to Torghast, which is a system their devs understand) but on the whole I would have preferred it if they were more like the Delves in ESO.
There are many Delves in each zone , each with a minimum of one boss. Accessible by all players solo or in groups, feature quests, skyshards and achievements for killing elite monsters, as well as various sorts of materials and items that improve your character (books) you can pick up along the way. You can do them as often as you like, you just walk in, it isnt instanced but a little area of the map, generally underground or in buildings. ESO has about 100 of them so you never run out of Delves to do if thats what you want.
That’s what I hoped Blizz was doing but, sadly, not the case.

To be fair, prior to the many account wide changes made, needing to do every daily and World Quest on each character you wanted to play to stay up to day for reps and power would be a nightmare.
Thankfully it’s mostly ok as I do all of the world quests on the map on my Main (and will until im max renown with all factions) and for alts only do a handful for Special Assignments or gear (or Pet WQ’s). Now it’s ok that we get more WQ’s each day.
You can thank Torghast and Scenarios for that “greatest invention” oh and dungeons. Delves aren’t really that original, buddy. But you keep telling yourself that.
