If only every player came to the forums to chat right. I mean you say these things not i , You believe something you cant even prove.

Blizzard hasn’t done anything right in well over ten years, and not just in wow.
Everything they’ve done, every game they’ve released, at least the last 5 wow expansions… have been trash.
Sure, though, let’s trust them to expand classic.

Id be shocked if they did this , but thats not we are talking about we are talking about you saying the people who want classic + are minority even when you can’t prove this, its garbage talk. Only Blizz could answer that, and only if they sent us all surveys asking for tbc or classic + pick one.

If they fixed all those things Blizzard would have 0 subscribers, because all the people who, somehow, like them would quit, and the people who hate them…
…well, I can only speak for myself. Like you, I think those things wrecked the game. Unlike you, even if I heard Blizzard had taken them out, the odds of my actually trying Modern again to see for myself would be very slim. I simply don’t believe in their current developers’ ability to make a decent game.
(There’s no contradiction here. I believe in their, demonstrated, ability to bring back a good game that people who are no longer with the company made over a decade ago. This is also why I’m in favor of BC servers, which only require a faithful recreation, and not of any attempt at Classic+, which would require new creativity.)

I’ve seen this sentiment a lot on these forums.
IMO, the devs aren’t the problem. It’s corporate trying to hit so many metrics and check so many boxes that the devs are forced to design the game around those metrics and boxes. They don’t have the freedom to just make a good game. From what people are saying, the raids are still very well designed, and the zones are good as well (for the most part). I dunno what’s wrong with retail exactly, but I’d bet that the devs aren’t the main problem.

I cant wait for TBC, and if you google TBC survey from Blizzard there is one online.
I recommend that you take a basic stats class. A population needs to be randomly sampled in order to have a good idea of how folks feel. Voluntary responses could skew the data.
The distribution of these polls matters… if polls are simply posted where anyone can respond, it only captures the opinions of those interested in answering. You need a random sample of the population in order to have an idea about how people feel in general.
Classic has been fun. An incredibly rare event where a developer re-releases a 16 year old game for everyone to re-live the nostalgia. I managed to find a good guild early on in Classic, a chill and competent group of people that just wants to down the content. Some of us PvP (got a couple R13/14s in the guild) but mostly PvE, everything is on farm, we clear BWL/MC/Ony in one night, ZG a couple times a week.
I am still looking forward to AQ and Nax and going through those experiences again. But once it’s all done, I doubt I will move on to TBC. I didn’t like it as much as Vanilla (even though it did improve on a lot of things) and I don’t want to reset everything and get back on the treadmill again…
So, once Classic is done I think I’m done too.
