I have to say, the voice acting for this patch is actually pretty good

Especially Gallywix and Xal’atath.

Even the dialogue is overall pretty decent. There are a few weak points, and their voice actors did what they could, but it’s miles above the usual cringe we expect from Blizzard - as showcased in S1 and previous expansions.

Didn’t know about that. Maybe that’s why Renzik has no voice acting.

Indeed, aside from Renzik’s voice acting (sarcasm intended).

Except anyone can make voices. Practice it a few times and you can get almost anyone to do it. You don’t need actors. Look, Metzen did it all the time

Sure… It all depends on how they want to honor their contracts with existing unions and get support for their own unions.

The strike only affects non-union work for studios who won’t sign the agreement not to scrape voices for AI.

Either blizzard works with a studio who’s signed the agreement or they’re working with the union directly.
