This is my 2nd balance druid and decided to get all the artifact weapons and such again and man what fun it is. I loved the artifact weapon gig the druid class hall was amazing just so many good memory’s even the mage tower the mana scythe I managed to get just 2 days before it was unavail died alot lol but was fun and well worth it. What did you all like about Legion.
The class halls in Legion definitely were a fun side gig to play with . This is what i think the devs lazily wanted covenants to feel like–of course that failed lol.
Full moon doing huge damage, was loads of fun in Battlegrounds brought the BOOMkin back to balance druid also mage tower was fun, doing that to get all the forms before they got removed/turned into legacy trophies. I didnt play a ton of legion though the artifact grind made me quit, the final patch was great though.
I was very disappointed when they removed full moon in BFA and turned it into a astral power generator in a talent tree where it wasnt viable.
The DK campaign was a lot of fun and Frostwyrm’s Fury is still a great ability*.
*Except in PvP where it hits like a wet noodle.
sadly, it was a borrowed power, that didn’t have to be borrowed.
I don’t know what mechanic thought the news devs police fun to revamp our characters in vain when we were already OP and the maximum experience in the game, seriously 110 lvl and with more than 5M HP and damage, is the most powerful thing that has been experienced in WoW.
The use of artifacts with their lore behind it and that powers were front loaded.
Random legendary drops made taking alts even when bored through the content actually was a lil fun I guess for lack of a better word.
Old raids were constantly busy and things were really profitable so making gold was nice.
…
That’s about it.
I liked the vibrancy of the zones, the beautifully designed dungeons, the music, Suramar and the class halls. It was full of life.
Unlike shadowlands. Which makes some sense lol. But still… I can’t wait to leave there. No wonder slyvanas was so freaked out by it.
Legion was a good time for solo players. Lots of activities, quest chains and weapon skins to unlock. Even fishing was fun with the artifact fishing pole.
The whole borrowed power thing with artifacts was fresh and new, even if it was an eternal grind that got a bit stale by the end. It’s something that they never should’ve ditched in favor of Azerite armor and just continued expanding upon it and improving it.
The class order halls and specific class campaigns were great. While some were very much better than others, it was a really cool way to have smaller stories unfold across the world and make us really feel like our class.
Suramar was a fantastic endgame zone and no other zone has ever felt nearly as good to me since then. Visually it was beautiful, the daily grind didn’t feel that bad at all because I was interested quite heavily in the story, and it had some unique little things like Withered Army Training and the disguise mechanic in the city.
Story-wise, it was simply, to-the-point, and filled with what WoW does best; giant trope-filled moments that got your blood pumping. It was a great closing point to the first era of WoW, and is the true closing of the book, not Shadowlands.
