But no desire to play them anymore because I have to regrind these essences. This is ridiculous. So SICK of the Nazjatar follower dailies. So tired of trying to find a group that’ll accept my 400 ilvl warlock to do mechagon, non hardmode. There’s barely any groups out that doing this place. Come on.

Yeah, i leveled up my mage yesterday in AV and it was pretty damn quick.
The problem was that i hit 120 and it’s like: Unlock your neck quests, scenarios for this, scenarios for that, can’t get to Naz, fly out to Mech and nothing works because you haven’t done that chain yet etc etc and i just ended up logging out. Kinda tired of so many things being tied into other things, i think this expansion will just stay a 1 main character expansion, the alts will get some Benthic gear to help them kill the occasional mount boss or event but otherwise remain unplayed.

So don’t play your alts? If you don’t want to put in the time to gear them, don’t.
It’s really not that hard of a concept. “I won’t enjoy doing this activity” so don’t do it.

The issue is how much solo questing content you have to do on your alt to get essences that affect your ability to do raids/dungeons/PvP.

This. a hundred times this. Ion, you say you read the forums so I hope you’re seeing this comment. I know you’ve seen many comments like it before but you refuse to accept what so many of us feel. Essences SUCK when having to do them on alts. Ignoring this truth does not make it go away.
I leveled one of every class from 110 (which I had leveled in pre-Legion invasions) to 120 and now doing some of the allied races I had no intention of leveling. But I have no current intention of playing them in BFA, in spite of having time, because I absolutely do not want to do the war campaign, and essences. I just want to log in, jump on a toon, and play.

I remember after Legion they said they were focusing on making this expansion alt-friendly. But this expansion feels WAY worse than Legion for alts… At least in Legion, you got a unique class experience and the world felt WAY bigger than BFA.

Uh ? You can get essences through the raid, dungeons and PvP themselves.
So much this. Essences are not hard. You get one handed to you right off the bat and the next one comes pretty soon afterwards. What do some of you people want? Hit 120 and automatically be fully geared, full AP and full essence? They’re called alts for a reason. If you want multiple mains then play the game and make them mains. Simple.

You can get 1. You can’t necessarily get the one that’s best for you class.
The essence that comes from Nazjatar dailies is BIS for many specs. It’s time locked and the only way to get it is by doing 30 daily quests spread over 10 days. There are others locked behind honoured rep for the 2 new factions, which means grinding rep on every alt just to unlock them.

It’s not “handed to you” though. Only rank 1 is. Then you’ve got 10 days of daily quests to advance it to rank 2.

No, through the raid, dungeons and PvP, you can get like 5 total.
“Best for your class” doesn’t matter at the level of gaming we’re discussing here.
So… What. The Rank 1 effect of ressource reimbursement does that and it’s 6 quests to get it. 3 a day for 2 days.
So use different essences ? It’s an alt, not a Mythic World First race character.

I think the biggest roadblock is when you hit 120 the WQ’s aren’t open until you get Freindly with the main three factions. Maybe if that was taken away if you already have them unlocked on other toons it wouldn’t feel as slow.

I’m ignoring all that until 8.3. Just glad to have a reasonably paced leveling avenue at the moment for alts.
What I want is not having to do a month worth of pointless daily quests and rep grinding in order to make my character playable. I should be able to go and kill monsters in dungeons and raids to gear my characters.

Uh ? When you hit 120, you just talk to people in Boralus/Dazra’alor and WQs unlock without any rep required for alts.
