Not once across multiple maxed toons. None of my followers have any equipment (for BFA). And its made zero difference to my missions from what I can tell from other peoples experiences. Why is this system still in the game when its so utterly redundant?
Ill admit, the mission table in BFA is a shell of what it was in WoD or Legion. Feels more like a needlessly tacked on continuation of a previous system but lacking in soul.
Legion did it right with missions that gave quests and stuff. Good stuff.
BfA’s has just been boring and uninspired to me.
I thought the follower equipment made a massive difference gave them big boosts on the table to get that 200% to aim for.
Oh you mean BfA, there is follower equipment?
Eh, extra enchanting materials and herbs /shrug
I use the whetstones for the increased success rate.
As for the other equipment, I agree that there’s probably little point unless there’s a system there that you use.
Maybe it had better chances against some enemies? I haven’t explored that, that even though I have like 30k resources on my Paladin.
Edit: How about going with Spurs and Whetstone for all. Master umbric can have whetstone + vial of obfuscation.
I never got much benefit from them for herbing
I did it initially but have t used it since then.
I didn’t even know they had equipment slots this time around?
I could never justify the cost of creating them, so I haven’t used them on any of my 3 120 characters.
All of mine, across all 12 characters, have the 5% increased chance and the 15% troop bonus horn as its one of the few crafted ones that don’t need the stone.
Wouldn’t you have a surplus of war resources after getting exalted on BfA reps?
Those could be used to get whetstones
I do but I would rather just save them up for bonus roll tokens.
Ahh right I think it’s just me being a try hard. Since I do all the WQ’s on the maps on my Paladin, feels like even after the bonus roll there’s so much left.
Mission boards in bfa are 99% useless and apart from holiday help (tw badges etc) a total waste of time.
WOD and legion caused a lot of casuals to play the missions to bank a serious 7 figure amount of gold (thereby deleting the credit card subs).
BFA kept the boards but reduced the missions to garbage to 1) kill alts and 2) reset the economy and the credit card reinstatements.
Business model changed - I doubt they will remain in the next exp at all.
I used the herbalism one when I did do missions. I dont recall it ever actually working though.
Before I started mythics, this was the only way to get m7 gear from the titanium residuum for my character. (A reliable amount)
I think it does serve a purpose, could be nice for someone that’s introverted.
I could not be bothered to farm dungeons for the hydrocores to make them myself and I could not find where they were on the auction house (after an admittedly half hearted, very brief, bored and impatient search) so I just sort of shrugged and never bothered to use any this expansion.
I really hated the mission table this time around. I mean, I never like the idea of offline minigames in the first place, but at least I had fun with the WoD table… legion was passable… but BFA’s? Booo! Very souless.
At this point it feels like the mission table is only around so that people still use the app
I think they try to put really optional. But might have gone little bit to far
I have the one that is suppose to bring back extra fish on my main, I have never seen a fish from it.
It’s a big shame, I finally got off my butt in legion to roll all the classes for the mage tower and tables. Really enjoyed the class stories and building up my followers, even when I was away from my computer. Got me invested in the game. Nowadays that level of interest doesn’t exist. I only cared to max out the table on this character for the weekly IE quest so I can hope for the rank4 worldvein essence and IE mounts.
But all I get is TR and gold.
