And I like swapping them out for when doing different types of content. Do you all do the same? How many sets do you keep around and for what purposes?
I have a Battleground/PvP set, a World/Questing set, a Raiding set, and a Dungeon set.
Unfortunately, this means that my inventory has a lot of gear in it. I feel like there needs to be a special bag that can accommodate multiple full sets of gear. As it currently stands, I’m running out of room even with 32+ slot bags for this purpose alone. The only other option is to run to the bank every time I want to swap out a set, which completely negates the usefulness of the Equipment Manager feature.
Can we get some kind of QoL change for this in the near future?
yeah i like swapping my gear out too, but its mostly for trinkets and offspec, before i get into different pieces for each slot i wanna get max ilvl first
i really wish there was a gear vendor so i could experiment more with different stats
I don’t know what class your playing that needs an entire gear set for pvp, raiding, dungeons, and wq with all different stat prio but you can definitely consolidate or just make it key pieces like trinkets and Legos.
Clearly if your main stat isn’t vers in pvp I see that as the only exception to my thoughts
I love having multiple sets
My twinks used to carry 4 full sets in their bags and it was amazing being able to swap out between full haste or full resil or mix or full spirit
Right now this pally has every conquest piece for both stats it comes in, so i like to swap out some mastery or haste or crit in to go with different legendaries i use

For example: I like using the Covenant set for it’s set bonuses and the PvP gear from the vendor for the PvP focused stats that my Dungeon and Raid gear don’t have. Some gear is better for dungeons than raids but there is some cross over there.
You might want to argue “but that’s not the optimal possible gear set for that use” but that doesn’t really concern me as much in this regard. I’m not a min/maxer by any stretch of the idea. I just enjoy having different sets that have different uses.
I wish there were more NON STAT pieces that made sense for different kinds of content. Like how some trinkets have neat abilities that can be quite useful, even when thy aren’t best in slot. That said, I kind of hate the idea of Best in Slot. I want variety and customization from gear rather than boring (IMO) micro optimizations.
Well I have a set for Veng and one “core” set for Havoc but that set is slight variations based upon what legendary I am using and the type of content. I probably have about a bags worth of inventory being used to house “other” gear.
I really with they would bring back the ability to change stats on gear with Reforging.
I have the exact same set for every spec on every character. Not a one has multiple sets. I only swap out trinkets and weapons that have pure stats for another spec, if I’ve bothered to get one for my offspec.
I am a lazy, filthy casual.
For mistweaver you need at least two sets because our stat priority is different in different content
