OP, I totally feel you. Bad RNG is something that has made me quit this game multiple times over the years and it is likely to be the reason I take another break for an entire expansion. I have been farming the hawkstrider from H MGT with 76 attempts so far. I have not even seen one drop. This just leads to burnout and I have had several friends quit over dealing with RNG. My solution at this point is to just play a lot less often and do better things with my life. Been working out in the gym a lot more. Dropped an entire size in my clothing. Stopped waking up with back pain. I am pursuing education for a promotion at work. If RNG has you burned out or depressed, go improve your life outside of the game and you will feel a lot happier. This video game RNG nonsense has no place in the life of an adult chasing success and purpose. In the end, I am starting to understand why people raid log and I am turning into one of those people. No more eight hours of WoW every day for me 
This would make sense, but bean counters won’t allow this because “engagement numbers”.

I mean they kinda did something similar and shadow lands for season 4 So I don’t think it’s 100% off the table And that was kind of mentioned yeah we don’t want people having You get the amount of badges and buy the item but then again running the same rate a 1000 times and never seeing it drops sucks.
Now granted that is in retail but still There is something to be said it’s not one million percent off the table at least the concept doesn’t maybe something not on the badge vendor specifically but maybe is maybe a special type of badge?
Or something of that nature maybe instead of you getting 20 A week or something like that maybe you can only get 1 every 2 weeks are something of that nature At least it’s a way to help with the RNG monster.
Become a streamer and content creator. Then Blizzard will make sure it drops for you within your first few runs.

its upsetting, but entirely part of the game and you need to take the good with the bad, everyone crowing about retail features forgets that you have to throw away your self respect to actually play that trashfire disgrace of an MMO. It’s not worth it, we’re here to play classic.
