Yeah,
Just be like snutz. Blindfold yourself, stand in fire, die and do zero damage, and receive Glaive.
I think I’m more salty at the fact I’ve simply never seen skull drop, which is significantly more common then Glaives.
As a consolation prize, last season I was the only mage on the ladder who did well into rogue rogue. That’s because I ran battlemasters since I didn’t have skull. On the flip side I was the only mage rogue who couldn’t consistently beat warrior Druid due to a lack of haste.
Secret tech, do not share pls
Just become a big streamer like Snutz and you’re g2g

Its odd that its finally taken until shadowlands season 4 for blizzard to even TEST purchasing raid items after a certain amount of boss kills.
I feel like after 8-10 weeks of a tier, you should be able to buy a single raid item (excluding legendaries).
just kind of silly it took them 17 years to figure out how to justify something like this.
That’s my raid group but with Sunflare. Feels bad
Tho the flipside of this is in aggregate you’d expect this outcome for one out of every 1300 equivalent guilds, so it’s not surprising it happened to someone.
I feel ya.
I raided BWL from phase 2 launch until the end of classic. twice a week. 80+ kills without ever seeing a neltharions tear.
I also cleared naxx every week from phase 5 launch to end of classic without ever getting 40 atiesh shards. Still sitting at 36…
Happens. Better luck next time
Cleared Illidan every week since release across multiple characters; never seen a Zhardoom. Seen 3 skulls/4 glaives/countless bulwarks but no staff =(
I feel the pain. Mine is with the shield from Grulls lair
I have seen 5 in the 16 runs i have done, and 3 caster staves. I feel bad for our melee with 0 glaive drops.
Just wanted to update this. I’ve successfully completed 35 Illidian kills and still have not seen skull drop.
As my BTs are usually on Monday, I effectively will never get to experience the most potent, broken caster item in arena for the entirety of TBC. Every mage I queue into has it. Every. Single. One.
Simply incredible. I can only imagine how much different TBC would have been like if I got the trinket early on, let alone if my Rogue managed to get his off hand. I almost feel robbed of my S3/S4 TBC experience.
It is what it is, I guess
And people wonder why systems like the great vault was added to retail. It’s not only to get people doing the content but for rng protection to reduce the odds of exactly that happening. But than they added titan forging and otherwise to make you never likly to see full bis.
Oh well. At least TBC is over forever and you never have to think about again.
See again this is why I keep saying what they should do in wrath so you know we don’t have this issue.
Just put everything on the badge vendor in addition to having things drop from the bosses but you can’t buy anything from a boss that you haven’t killed.
And badges drop from raids If so it’ll be completely fine Is for example if you need Item from X boss You can’t If by an item with badges unless you’ve killed that boss On that difficulty.
This way gdkps wouldn’t be so pushed And I just think that’s overall better and it would also make the game less paid a win.
This is why i am a pvp andy i cap flags kill foos , have a great time i get what i put in . Just have fun loot is loot .
By some miracle I managed to get into a SR run today. At the last moment, both FR tanks dipped before the raid started.
I pulled in favors and helped get the raid filled. One last ditch effort. One last push!
Shroud of the Highborne, for the 16th time, dropped. I’ve successfully killed Illidian every single week of availability in TBC, sometimes on multiple characters a week, and did not see Skull of Guldan drop once.
Thirty-six kills.
As much as I hate retail, some type of vault system would’ve been heaven

I never got my T4 helm back in 2007/8. Saw a token drop 2 or 3 times. Lost each time.
I hope this taught you to have 6 mages ready for wotlk.
