I just love seeing the continued ranting and ravings about the changes being made to the game.
Has anyone else noticed that when people complain about the changes, their argument is always something along the lines of “Blizz has a lawsuit IRL, ‘X change’ won’t fix anything with ur lawsuit!”?
Why do the two have to be directly linked in this way? “I can’t enjoy wow without being able to spam /spit on people I gank! And I’ll never be immersed without my in-game paintings of nearly naked women!”

Weird because they could have made these changes years ago. The timing is quite a coincidental huh?

Not sure why they are making theses changes now tho, It feels so random.

I personally think that if people can’t be rude or perverse in straightforward ways that it will probably come out somewhere else in their lives. I would rather a guy /spit on me 5 times after killing me in pvp than him kicking his dog or something. Is this a stupid argument? Probably. I’m probably wrong. Oh well. Freedom to be a jerk is still freedom, and when it’s lost is it a universally good thing? I’m unconvinced.

That’s true and by the same logic people could’ve complained years ago too but people are opportunist they like to strike while the iron is hot so they jump on the anti-Activision blizzard boat
All in the name of righteousness and integrity but we all know it’s just a front to get attention since the attention is on blizzard now where were they where was the righteousness years ago it just kind of popped up by coincidence I am amused by a lot of the threads I see today too
Amused in a little bit disgusted because we all know it’s just some weird fetish that people have for attention that leads them to jump on the bandwagon calling for sacrifices as long as it’s not them to have to do the sacrificing
Do you see what I see

forced changes after the waters already took over…
op logic is basic… like all the holier than thou people here.

Just to be clear, freedom to be a jerk is not freedom from consequences.

These changes were done entirely to make people mad and make posts about it on the forums, reddit, twitter, etc, because the noise they make distracts from the stuff that can actually hurt Blizzards bottom line.
As a strategy it works marvelously. Why hire astroturfers to claim that everything Blizzard is doing is good when their own playerbase loves nothing more than to complain endlessly about things which are insignificant.

A lot of the changes are ridiculous, but the reactions to them are even worse. What happens when these people face actual problems in life?

Yes. After the longest release delay and longest content drought since release before first patch, this is exactly the kind of thing I want dev time spent on…

The problem is you think it’ll end there. Your history teacher failed you…

I bet you donate to corporations for, “charity” and think they’re doing it out of moral obligation.
Yea, removing/changing wording on a handful of emotes is serious dev time! So many hours being thrown away on these emotes!

I’m sorry. Was there a point you were trying to make? Because all I got out of your post was “HAHA. People being forced to play nice! HAHA.”
What if I don’t want to play nice? It’s my sub fee? What if I want to follow you around and gank you every time you respawn? Then gank you some more when you complain about it? Then tell you to “Shut up and enjoy the game” When you log into the forums and complain? And then LMAO when the proverbial eyes-widen-“YOU!” reaction hits?
I’m sure you’d call that “Toxic!” But I can remember a time when people did that to each other in PVP games, even in this one.
So you’ll pardon me when I look at all this nonsense and my reaction is:
“What a bunch of weak, spineless, glass-jawed crybabies.”

This 100%, I don’t really care about the law suits, I just want them to make WoW great again. The harassment and all that is between Blizzard and it’s employees.

It’s all a bit silly. Nice to have a giggle over then go about my day.

the /spit is meaningless.
meaningless for the person doing it. and meaningless for the person receiving it. Sticks and stones won’t break my virtual main’s bones.
changing the game for THESE reasons is what the problem is. Not what the change is, but WHY the change is.

Melt downs are silly and amusing.
What Blizzard is doing is silly and amusing.
Theyre both kind of stupid and serve nothing.

Everyone’s just in a silly goofy mood.

Maybe blizz going for an E for everyone rating…why not remove the ability to type and make premade phrases?
The timing is obviously because blizz is in hot water and now they are over compensating as always but they are making game changes no one asked for.
Emotes dont incur sexual assault nor does verbal or emote words cause and real harm.
Its the spineless weak minded and emotionally frail adults who were over protected and encouraged to be those type of adults those of the 90s knew as tight wad Karen siccer mom snob nosed loosers no one wanted to grpw up to be.
Now those people with horrible ideas cant get those ideas bouvht so they put them into pre established IPs and ruin them.
This fantasy game is many players escape from this crappy worlds stupid cultural agenda and with it now sinking its fangs into the game to make it stale and scrubbed of a few things today it only ensures the trend continues until this game is a parody of what it was…
Look at star wars…or captain Marvel…or most crap released that is heavily influnced by this new age cultural stagnation of PC.
Its shallow and horribly written, stale and overly cautious so no risks makes it one note…its hated by original fans and those who cheer it on and praise it are not real fans as they invest nothing into those franchises at all. Its all self insertion of their ideas of how something should be with full dusreguard to the people who love the franchise they grew up in and around.
Sometimes change is good and sometimes its not. The changes blozz needs are internal and not silly emotes in wow…the game and its systems and gate keeping are most issues…but at this point SL is pretty much canned and this “culture shift” has destroyed more then its improved.
