I’m not going to bash anyone that enjoys the leveling experience. We’ve all got reasons we enjoy playing for.
However, I am really feeling some burnout on the experience. Part of it stems from playing too long. I’ve seen the same content I’m not sure how many times now over the years.
There has to be a better alternative that doesn’t involve buying a token. Why not let us accumulate experience on maxed toons and pass it on to alts? Even if at a reduced percentage? Even giving heirlooms their experience gain buffs back would be appreciated.

Just wait for the next “remix” thing. 20th anniversary is coming up, will that have easier / varied leveling?

We have the warband bonus that increases experience gained by up to 25 per cent. It’s not a fast track like you’re suggesting, but if you chain dungeons and spend the waiting time herbing/mining, the levels zip by quickly.

i didn’t even bother with the last one because it required you to level a new toon. sorry, not interested. i’d rather they just take leveling out of the game and just have achievements for completing zone quest lines.

I max leveled 6 alts in shadowlands just flyng the pet battle circuit everyday. haha My gawd it was boring.
I had them all engineers so they could port to each zone.

But what is wrong with extra fast if you have the heirlooms for it?
I’ve noticed leveling Alts through Dragonflight seems to go fairly quickly.

The fun of leveling alts isn’t experiencing the same content all over again, it is trying out a new class and spec. If you feel like you’ve already experienced all of the classes and specs you’re interested in currently, then it’s not surprising that leveling is now boring for you.

It’s fun as tank or heals because of instant queue. It’s also fun on Earthen because you can just fly around between queues to level even faster.
I think I made it through like 3 EK zones before I was level 70, between that and dungeons.
The thing that slightly irks me is the RP. I don’t even mind the quests. But if they could speed up the quests where they have some sort of motions they go through once you’ve already done it on your account, I’d be appreciative. I know there aren’t a ton like that, though.
For example, the “making the lantern” quest when you have to put the ingredients in the forge. Just speed that up so once you throw in an ingredient, he just goes to the next one.
Minor thing either way.

I hate it too.
But after over 12 years of playing and having levelled probably 3-4 characters of each class over the years, surely it’s normal to be sick and tired of it.

Honestly I just wait for leveling events in most cases now.

how many alts do you have/need? if you have been playing a long time, you know there are certain times when leveling is easier, usually at the end of expansions. i mean, people were leveling remix alts in 2 hours or less
it shouldnt be capped out at 25% . It should be maxed out at 100% if you have that many 80’s. Oh, right, silly me, boosts. They want you to be frustsrated with leveling and pay $60 for boosts.
I burned out on leveling in dungeons so I went from 70 to 80 just collecting herbs with one character. While it’s not that fast, it took less than a week.
The only other advice is wait for Timewalking, as it gives more XP than regular dungeons, but at a certain point, you might go insane from running the same 5 dungeons repeatedly.
I agree , 2-3 hours to go from 70-80 is just way way way to long its ridiculous, blizzard needs to fix this nonsense

retail leveling is just spamming dungeons, is boring
i loved remix pandaria because i leveled like 10 alts to max level and it took only 2h per alt
but most importantly, it was FUN
I go back and forth.
Sometimes i like to chill and level as its braindead and nostalgia. But i like just rofl stomping. I dont want to pay attention while leveling.
Then i get to a next xpac where i class swap all the time at end game and hate my life with having to level so many characters to play what i want in endgame
But anniversary is enroute with like a 50% bump when combined with warband xp increase so ill so it then for most
Pure dps is the worst cause you cant dungeon spam as efficiently
