I have an idea on the "at target" vs. "at destination" AoE thing

So, right now we have talents that dictate whether your AoE (like shadow crash) is flung directly at your target, or if it’s flung at the ground marker. We used to use @target macros, but those were taken away.

What if we copied what MOBAs do?

If you tap the button once, you bring up the targeting reticle, and can click on the ground to shoot it. If you tap the button twice, it immediately fires on your target’s location.

Best of both worlds, and without wasting a talent spot.

@cursor macros still work, blizzard removed the @target macros (because placing some abilities at your target like DH sigils is a talent point).

I’m for this but I also think that it would be okay to just put in alternative nodes for all recicle spells, rather than having to tap twice every time I want to use the spell. It is creative though.

However if we’re not going to be aiming stuff anymore why not have all AOE spells spread like Starfall and get the best of both worlds?

I think it should just cost a talent point if you want that stuff to be placed at a target.

Having a double click thing would complicate the @cursor macros I use because an accidental double click would misplace my sigil.

I don’t want my sigils to be placed at target because I use them for tagging mobs far away sometimes.

I can see the merits behind this idea. I back it!

I will say they have largely come a ways with having alternate ‘target’ nodes too.

I have an idea. Just remove the cooldowns from AOE abilities.

The entire reason you want 2 different Shadow Crashes is because you only get 1 chance to spread all your DoTs, so need whichever one fits your situation.

If the stupid Shadow Crash ability or whatever is similar to it doesn’t have a CD, it doesn’t matter if you make an error, you just recast.

Obviously you don’t want certain AOE abilities to be spammable, but Shadow Crash is definitely one that doesn’t matter.

I hate that. Feels like a waste of talent points.

And I accidentally click(i twitch sometimes) when placing an aoe, putting it in the wrong spot.

Double click doesnt mean it has to be a fast click. Just make it like evoker abilities.
