- Non-cosmetic class restricted gear can now have its appearance collected by other classes. This change will be retroactive to any gear currently your bank or inventory.
so this means i can collect warlock tier gear from tomb of sarg. while playing on a non warlock class?
I thought that was already in the game as I completely a Paladin set from Sanctum of Dominion while playing my hunter?
Pretty much anything that drops goes into your transmog cache. I only notice it when i vendor it , but then i get the pop up in the chat window
i dont think so, i went hard on xmogs last week, got several warrior tier items but didnt get the pink message that the item was added to my collection

It means that if you farm Vault of Archavon and you get rogue tier legs while on your druid, normally you wouldn’t unlock the transmog but after today’s patch you will.

It’s part of the new patch today.

Sweet, I actually leveled a lock to use the tier tokens in my warband for mogs on my mage. this helps
That’s how I read it, yes.
I actually did Shadowlands yesterday on several toons and the Legendary Bow dropped on my Mage! I’ve kept it, fingers crossed I get the appearance on my Hunter after resets.
We could already collect armor types not for our class, except if they had a specific class tag on them. Sanctum sets weren’t class specific.
You can collect class tokens and learn their appearance, but not class items.
Until today’s patch.
And I have the appearance on my Hunter today!
