I have a fat ‘T’ shaped backpack with a purple gem at center-top. It makes a windy/whistling sound. I got it sometime in the last two days (perhaps from the Azj-Kahet WQ where you get a missile launcher.) Any clues what it is and how to get rid of it?
Someone else had this problem a few days ago.
They were told it’s part of a quest, and once you complete the quest it will go poof.
Unfortunately I don’t remember more than that. I’ll see if I can find it…
I can’t find it, I’m sorry.
Try checking your quest log, complete any quests there. If this is quest related then it will poof once the quest is completed.
did someone say mr t?
I had a similar experience but without sound when a hunter using an artifact bow due to it coming with a quiver. Basically, it bugged to copy itself to hang on the hunter’s shoulder. Unequipping the bow did not hel, neither equipping another weapon nor trying to transmog it out. In any case someone mentioned trying to use the barbershop to get it off. Maybe you could try that? The idea is to somehow transform your character to get rid of the bug. I managed to fix it in some other transformation way before trying the barbershop thou. Perhaps you have a toy that will change your appearance? It wouldn’t hurt to try.
It was the “Charging up that hill” quest.
Not trying to sound mean but do you pay attention at all to the quests you pick up?
Man, you are making some pretty heavy assumptions about the typical WoW player.
Cutscene starts:
Anduin: Ah, champ…
Press ESC
Are you sure you want to skip this cinematic?
Yes
Quest pops up
“By the Titans! Bears are killing my livestock! Can you thin them out and bring me 20 Pristine Bear As…”
Click accept without reading, will check objective/map later
These people will then proceed to complain loudly when a quest is even slightly more complex than “Kill X” and/or “Collect Y.”
And that’s not even getting into the folks that constantly say the story is bad. Mind you, WoW isn’t exactly Tolkien or Poe, but when you skip EVERY SINGLE CUTSCENE even on the first viewing, IMO you lose the right to be critical of the story.
I was doing this quest chain when it got time to do Theater Troupe. I then headed off to do another quest. Normally, the crap you pick up for a quest drops when you leave the quest area.
Only to find out after killing 20 bears you actually had to pet them. Feelsbadman
I’m reminded of a quest back in vanilla where it tells you to talk to someone without a hint as to where they are
I had one when I was doing the stormriders quest where you help that chick summon a bunch of new stormrooks with Thrall
