And its quite simply… they did it on purpose, that way, it becomes an excuse for them to release the mage tower stuff for everyone.
but why do that at all you may ask? because that way, they can dodge the backlash of the people who are against putting earned FOMO stuff back into the game.
Boy do I hope you’re right, and they aren’t just going to delete everyone’s druids because of their own mistake.
But personally I think they’ll go with the deleting everyone’s druids route.
That’s less a conspiracy theory, and more just completely uncut hopium. You’re setting yourself up for massive disappointment when it gets rolled back.
I can only hope myself to get into the correct timeline then.
what i can say though, is that blizzard has a history of not taking back stuff that people get due to bugs (with the exceptions of cheating and exploits of raids of course)
My tinfoil hat theory is that this bug was a result of those exact skins being showcased early. The transmogs were regulated just fine but the barber shop managed to slip the appearances through
I’d expect we’ll see something in legionfall or perhaps even in the final phase as a “Last hurrah, get them before they go!” kinda deal
I said the same thing about an hour ago.
I have a theory they’re pulling another MoP WB Evoker “bug.”
The theramore prepatch stuff wasn’t originally on the vendor either. They got added later on when people were unlocking them but only if you knew to do it at a specific level.
There is no conspiracy they are just incompetent and their QA department is clearly in need of reform because the quality of this latest patch is beyond terrible.
The fact is this bug isn’t even consistent as not everyone is getting impacted by it the same way some only get one form some get both some get none etc…its clearly just a bug that needs to be fixed.
The “correct” timeline is where we want Blizzard to be more honest and accurate with their information that they provide. Not less so just because folks are screaming their heads off about stuff because they feel entitled to it.
Or what, would you be fine with having your account permanently banned using the same reasoning as long as enough people start chanting “Permanently ban Lichceifador”? This is after all what you seem to be implying that you want, and consider the “correct” timeline.
Most people who are honest about this position and wants seem to back off quite quickly whenever one points out that this is what they are arguing in favour of. That or folks ignore it because they feel like it is a ‘special case’ where they are entitled to one thing, but not to get permanently banned using the same reasoning.
My conspiracy theory is that some rogue dev whose wife plays a druid unlocked them for her ![]()
I doubt it. But that would be nice.
You mean Druids from Remix, right? … Right? ![]()
One can only hope.
Kind of want to say you may be on to something. I remember there being some shenanigans with MoP retail content when MoP Remix went live, but this is a completely different level of spaghetti code. You’d have to intentionally remove the MT completion requirements to get the associated forms at a coding level.
I don’t see that just magically happening, and even if it did, it doesn’t look like they had any viable way to quickly undo whatever it was that happened (if they even have a way to at all after the fact that these appearances have been unlocked).
I have a conspiracy theory too. That the continuous stream of layoffs have sapped the quality assurance capability, so disconnecting the appearances from the controlling player achieves + capabilities in barbershop was a timebomb.
Doesn’t matter. Already unsubscribed.
My fear is their rollback will get some players who earned their forms back in Legion… but it will be considered an acceptable loss with the bonus of making those forms even more rare.
I have a different conspiracy theory, that they did this so that players would flood the forums, attacking each other over something no one asked for, nor did anyone here play any role in it happening. Distracting from the real issues involved in changes upcoming in Midnight, about which we have no idea because they are planning on springing them on players.
There’s a very big difference between asking for a game feature and deliberately targeting a single person, and you know it. They are not even remotely comparable. That being said, if an entire community wants a single player gone, they’ve done something that is extremely likely to be bannable.
they don’t have to delete the druids, the forms are accessible through the barbershop which will be locked away like they were before the bug
