I hate digitigrade legs, not only because they make literally no sense for a bipedal animal, but because I think they look ugly, plus they can’t wear shoes.
I don’t like that they don’t have hair, I enjoy flippy floppy ponytails and whatnot on other races.
Their casting animations are bad.
Their arms are too long and border on creepy.
I actually highly dislike dogs (and foxes are a dog).
They don’t have a sprint animation.
That all said, female vulpera have an adorable voice over, and it’s the only real thing I like about them. They’re a short race which I like, but gnomes (and to a lesser extent goblins) are better due to, you know, normal legs that make sense for a planet that has gravity, and hair. Female gnome’s voice is so quiet you can hardly hear it, but they still beat out vulpera.
I like everything about them except their legs and feet while running, something looks off, but it does for all the small toons. Y’all look wobbly somehow.
Birds say wings? For any animal that is primarily designed around walking / running, digitigrade makes legit no sense as you’d have basically zero stamina, as it takes much more effort / energy to move. Plus you have way worse balance.
Also another reason I dislike them. I can’t stand Horde.
And also, “Hey we were enslaved by genocidal psychopaths for generations! So let’s team up with genocidal psychopaths whose only purpose in life is chest thumping stupidity and murder!” It surely makes sense.
Theropods had giant tails full of muscles that helped pull on the leg bones (and acted as counterbalances), they had organs that were shifted backwards to help balance them, and they were kind of pseudo-bipedal. A lot of them moved like pangolins, and would spend a lot of time walking on all fours.
Birds, while bipedal, are (largely) reliant on flight for their major locomotion, and it doesn’t matter if digitigrade is less efficient for being bipedal.
Vulpera, tauren, draenei and worgen legit would not be able to walk like they do. They’d be bent over to stay balanced, and their bodies would not be built like a normal person’s would. Digitigrade is a much, much smaller fulcrum, and balance is much, much harder. That’s why birds and theropods extend both directions over their legs, to balance themselves.
