I have a bad feeling

that cross faction is gonna be the new “you thought you did, but you didn’t”

for some alliance players, and for all horde players.

I’m pretty sure a vast majority of people don’t care about the faction split and it’s a vocal minority who cares so much if someone is a Human or an Undead Human to kick people from groups. So far it’s been great for my Alliance acquaintances.

I don’t agree. Irrespective of faction pride or traditional game design, I still prefer shorter queue times and less restrictions with grouping with my friends.

It’s long overdue, but of course the skies are always falling on the forums.

In my casual browsing of the Mythic dungeon groups today… I can’t remember seeing an Alliance group in the queue. Every single group I clicked on was Horde. lol

I did two. It was weird getting into an instance on my Draenei with Orc players… Oh well, the selection is certainly a lot better now.

Keep your bad feeling to yourself. This is the first time I think I have ever had such a nice time doing M+. The available groups more then tripled.

You could always group with your friends. This argument is garbage.

Really? I see fewer alliance making groups than before.

this reads as being not very bright.

Can’t say I care when my friends and I are going to be enjoying it. Folks can be miserable if they want.

I like it so far. I am just Casual. It’s a bit hard for me to PuG M+. This X-faction just allowed me to do keys above M+15. Before, getting me invited above M+15 is a bit slow. Today, the real first day of X-faction, I got invited to do 2x M+16’s.

Before the X-faction, 3000 io score people just refuse to run with the M+15’s keys I join. I was like the only one willing to carry lowbie keyholders on PuG. Now, 3000 io horde are helping me carry lowbie keyholders getting me more chance to beat M+15’s.

I understand that some Horde at 3000 io score wont get us a shot on M+15’s and above. Alliance at 3000 io score would automatically shut us down too. But there are some 3000 io Horde willing to help. I have plenty of smooth runs today way way better than my last week runs.

This is just my initial experience. We will see.

Yeah. Had an even harder time getting invited today. Will take a while I guess for people to get over that block & just look at players objectively.

Also, in the meantime filling my own group is obviously faster so no doubt it’s a step in the right direction.

I mean, what is your reasoning though? You have that feeling, surely you can express to us why?

I’m hoping more for 'you thought it mattered, but it didn’t '.

If I end up being wrong, can always go to the store, press a button & immediately become a better player. At least now I’ll still be able to play with my friends.

I’ve had a blast tonight playing with Horde characters. Even just finding out quirks like being able to res each other in the open world created some opportunities for shenanigans.

More like “I never did and still don’t”.

Everyone is going to have their own feelings about this, but it seems hard to opt out of it if a person ever wants to do custom group content unless they’re the ones always starting groups.

In some ways, it’s kind of cool, but in other ways the flexibility is limited.

I don’t think opinions are going to sway too much. X-faction gameplay is pretty much what it says on the box.

Those who wanted it (myself included) got what they wanted. More access to end-game without having to be on the dominant faction, more ability to play with friends without compromising preference.

Those who dislike it will probably be those who always disliked the idea and think that faction barriers actively add to the game.

I’ll be surprised if more people go from Camp A to B rather than vice versa.

Not being able to group for outdoor content is garbage. Especially in Dragonflight where they’re supposedly going to have more of an emphasis on outdoor content for those who want to do that over instanced content. Hopefully they’ll open up the restrictions in the next expac and this is just the bare minimum of what we’re getting in this xpac to tide us over.
