I have 3918 Swiftness Potions

Or should I say had? They were invaluable to me, I collected and used them like candy and were by far the most versatile thing I had for all my characters in all forms of content, especially old raid farming in places like Firelands.

I even have an alchemist who can make the potions.

But now, sadly, I need to try and sell them all in the next month before they become vendor trash.

I’m planning on sending a ton to each of my alts to make leveling open world just a little faster

Why will they be trash?

That’s the nature of beta - things change. And while you were trying to be prepared for SL, you kinda went overboard doing so. Good luck on selling!

It looks like all non current expansion potions are going to have a level cap on them so they cannot be used in current expansion content.

For context:

So maybe not all as I previously said, but certain niche ones.

These are the list of potions that have been capped at level 50.
  • Skystep Potion Increases movement speed by 150% and allows the imbiber to hover. Lasts 8 sec.

  • Lightfoot Potion Increases movement speed by 150%. Lasts 8 sec.

  • Darkwater Potion Transforms you into a Jinyu assassin, increasing movement speed by 70% and swim speed by 200%. Lasts 8 sec.

  • Draenic Swiftness Potion Increases movement speed by 70% and swim speed by 200%. Lasts 8 sec.

  • Free Action Potion Makes you immune to stun and movement impairing effects for the next [30 - (Level - 77) * 3 ; Min 5, Max 30] sec. Does not remove effects already on the imbiber.

  • Draenic Invisibility Potion Gives the imbiber invisibility for 18 sec.

  • Invisibility Potion** Gives the imbiber invisibility for 18 sec.

  • Demitri’s Draught of Deception The imbiber gains invisibility for 18 sec.

  • Lesser Invisibility Potion Gives the imbiber invisibility for 15 sec.

  • Purification Potion Attempts to remove one curse, one disease and one poison from the imbiber.

  • Shrouding Potion Shrouds you from nearby enemies so you seem less threatening to them.

  • Sneaking Potion Increases Stealth a great deal for 1 min.

  • Swiftness Potion Increases run speed by 50% for 15 sec.

  • Skaggldrynk Enter the spirit realm, giving the imbiber invisibility for 18 sec.

  • Stealthman Cloaks the user in a stealth field for as long as they stand still. Cannot be used in combat. The field lasts for up to 6 sec. after moving.
The Stealthman shares a cooldown with non-healing potions.

Wonder if they are doing that with the gliders too. I heard a month or so back there where new ones I figured they were just pallet swaps but watch it be zone specific

Because blizz can’t stand fun. I remember how much I loved Bear Tartar in legion…going to old raids that were huge and took forever to traverse like BT and constantly be in a state of sprint…then blizz for NO REAL REASON, made them useless.

poor soul falling for that buying out.

It would take me that many pots to get through 1 mog run of MC in a reasonable time.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they start making things expansion specific to the expansion they were looted/crafted in.

They did it with most of wod so I wouldn’t be surprised at all

Isn’t it kinda sad how we are all in the same boat of “yup, not surprising”…

They are being made pointless in SL.

Oh shoot, I thought you were talking about Lightfoot, my bad

That makes sort of sense, but is still a kick in the gonads. I have like 5 engineers because of how useful they are in general. Sure I can glide once per 2 minutes and move fast with my nitro boosts, but I also can’t craft my own legendary items, or even make any money out of this profession outside gliders.

Blizzard removing crafted armor/weapon enhancements was one of the worse things they could have done for professions.

Nah the entire catalogue of old potions is being wiped in SL, just another disconnect from the rest of the game and forcing us to all now farm at level to get what we have for years been using without problems.

You all are talking potions but how about food with buffs like bear tartare?

That was made useless during the expansion it was released in.
