So after doing a bunch of the quests in shadow lands I found I was sitting down not playing the game rather being forced to watch some melodramatic RP
I was also forced to walk at a snails pace because I had to walk around with some many damn NPCs monologues it was nuts
Get ready for it people who don’t live and breathe quests and remember to not run to far away from the idiot NPCs you’ll be having to hand hold the whole way, and have a decent movie playing for when we enter one of 1032 moments where the game gets paused so some NPCs can talk at you

Me thinks that mmos are really not the genre for you

Maybe you’d be better off playing a grindy korean MMO with no story, just quests upon quests of endlessly killing hundreds of things.

It’s called story. You should probably play minecraft.

I’m so excited to take my time questing in Shadowlands. I really want to learn all there is about this new realm.

Doesn’t minecraft have a story now?

It’s not much role playing when I can’t role play an impatient character

Found the dude who complains about content length, but smashes their face across the keyboard during any and all NPC dialogue in an effort to GIT 2 DA END

The starts gonna be a snore, that’s for sure.
I have a friend like the OP, he’ll jump on WoW and then quit after a few months because he is not a questing/story guy. But he loves Monster Hunter and has been playing it for years… Maybe OP should try Monster Hunter.

Yeah but Monster Hunter has fantastic story and lore for those willing to string two words together and/or engage more than 20% of their brain.
P.S. your friend sucks.
P.P.S. peace n’ blessin’s

Content is nice, Story is great. But the RP in some quest-lines become obnoxious quickly. At the very least, there should be a ‘spit it out’ button to speed things up.
Nothings more immersion breaking in the quest-lines than poorly paced dialogue:
“Quick, Hero! We Must stop the Undead invasion that will overrun the denizens of Azeroth. It’s SUPER Urgent!!! But first let me tell you about that one time I lost my contact while fighting the banshee Queen in Undercity. It was quite a day… !”

This is not even remotely accurate of an example and even the word ‘hyperbole’ is running for the hills in embarrassment.
Flagging this post as amazing. I’ve missed this face! Where you been gurl? What you been findin’ in yo thangs?

IDK, I just did the Argus quest-line introduction and 75% of it was slow walking and listening to a certain npc recollect on all things past… All while telling me to go save some lives at that were in great peril.
There are tons of examples where the quest-line story is about rushing to stop some bad imminent thing, but the npc dialog/movement is at a snails pace.
Just don’t tell me to hurry if you’re gonna drone on for a few minutes first.
