Running around killing rares often goes like this:
- run around aimlessly or with an addon to guide you hoping you find a rare
- see a map pin spammed about a rare spot
- run to the map pin
- hope that you make it in time for the kill
- dps the rare like it’s a target dummy because they can’t make them interesting
- try to follow the group after they leave the rare
- the group splits around and you’re back to step 1 or you just find the next target dummy rare after running around
At no point in this process are you engaged in the game, other players, or the world around you.
I’m not asking to end this type of game play just because I hate it but give us options for collecting rep or filling the biweekly bar.
I think my big issue is the amount of random time-wasting there is. If killing rares was more deterministic and there was more play agency involved it would be better. Say I have to activate a rare and I can post my group in LFG and have people join to kill the rare and give it some interesting abilities.

You say you aren’t engaged with the game but you are wrong. You are actively paying attention navigating around and dodging mobs/pats and reacting when rarescanner is going off and paying attention to chat to see a map pin linked.

Rofl the belt is tied to the campaign not rep.
Only if you want to get the recipe you need Rep. And thats if you want two max ilvl pieces. And lordy will ppl complain about that cost even though they aint cutting edge
rare farming is legit the worst way to even get rep.

Once we unlock flight in another couple of weeks it won’t be that big a deal. You will be able to zoom around the zone looking for them quicker and without having to deal with ground mobs.
Then don’t do it.
Rare farming is literally NOT REQUIRED.

Log on every day or farm rares. Hopefully the world boss in ZM helps fill the bar to make up the difference ><
Because I want two legendaries but I don’t enjoy the process of getting two legendaries. Specifically running around killing rares.
Bruh, if you only the leggo powers you don’t have to do this grind at all. You get the rank 6 belt for “free” as part of the campaign. You don’t need the memory if you’re a casual pleb and only want to play with the double leggo powers. The memory is only “mandatory” if you want to min-max power gains.
Imagine thinking you can min-max in an MMORPG without playing it. Yes, you have to do content to get rewards, and if you want to get the most powerful rewards in the most timely manner, that means logging onto the game and playing it.
Lol. This is the absolute most generous legendary grind we’ve ever gotten at any point in this game’s history ever. There is no other MMO on the market that’s more generous than this. I actually don’t know what you’re talking about.

You get the belt for the 2nd Legendary by just completing chapter 7 of the campaign there is no rep tied to it . The only thing you need rep for is is you want to get the unity thing that makes any item a legendary slot .
Belts are usually not tier items so most will probably just stick with it.
Other then the Unity item which makes any item Legendary capable and is not a must due to belt , the rep is 99.999% for cosmetics .
Can you do the bi weekly without doing any rares?
