I hate oracle

Why didn’t you delete this crap and made something better / more fun.

Well your in luck. There is another hero talent to go, or even healing spec. Priests are wonderful hey

No, simple as that.

Both specs and heros should be functional and fun to a degree

Oracle is horrid.
No excuse for lazyness

Oracle is so much fun in World/Solo PvP and makes you feel so much stronger too!

What don’t you like about it?

my personal issue with oracle in the few times i’ve tried to learn it is 1. i dont really feel like i need another button on my hotbar for holy, and 2. trying to sync up the buff i want with the mech i want is a PITA when other stuff in the rotation is concerned, or if y effect is wanted before X but oops, can’t do that because the X comes before Y and Y is on CD by that point

it feels rigid and unfun to me, idk

Personally I like Oracle, once you get the hang of it feels good.

My only request is to change Premonition of Insight.
The 3 insta poms/holy fires do not feel impactful in M+. Most of the time the poms just overlap each other and you lose a lot of stacks and you most likely don’t use it during heavy aoe dmg phases.

Insight is incredibly good for Disc, and triple PoM/Holy Fire isn’t GREAT but fairly good on Holy.

Solace is near-useless on both specs in both forms of PvE content. :frowning:

Solace can be great! It’s basically a mini Cocoon. It’s not as great as the other three spells, but it’s definitely not useless.

I personally love Oracle. It feels a little more cohesive with Holy but I’ve been really enjoying the extra tools added to their kits.

The problem with Solace is that Disc can do similar healing with a buffed PW:S, so it’s a very long CD PW:S with a minor DR.

And for Holy, their ST healing is not what’s weak about them at all, so it doesn’t really help to have a shield. It’s OK, but it’s not worth a minute cooldown on either of them.

Solace only mitigates up to 3mil talented and that’s one swing at the tank on high keys. The damage reduction portion of it is better.

I don’t particularly appreciate that it’s unoriginal, a blessing of Summer clone.
I don’t like the way it functions as well.

I would rather have the approach where they use one of our Core spells and enhance it – like warlocks for example – Affliction was evolved into something stronger in the hero trees.

Same for Hpally – Main holy heal spender gets morphed into another heal spell but stronger with an added effect.

It’s a passive buff and minor ability change to something that already exist.
Fun, no bloat needed

Archon is another miss hero tree – it should have been Dark ascension and Ascension, not halo. Another LAZZZY escape.

Void weaver should have been Void Eruption REWORKED out of the god dam tree into something new and better.

agreed with your post
Its annoying trying to get this horrid spell to work well in your rotations, especially in heated moments. and not satisfying to use most importantly.

overall, I favor more passive talents than active talents.
I rather have passive talents that change how your spells/abilities function and impacts your entire class.

We don’t need 100000 spells. We just need a few that have weight them and doesn’t feel like just another unnecessary bloat to press.

Like literally envokers, all they do is spam their ice beam in PVP for example. That one spell does soo much… Meanwhile other classes – pres 20 spells to do the same.

doesn’t solace give clairvoyance so it’s basically all three premonitions together whenever you get to solace?

No. Solace gives clairvoyance, making your NEXT cast give all 3.

The final talent gives 4 premonitions: Insight, Piety, Solace, Clairvoyance.

Before taking that talent you have 3.

I think cycled spells are a terrible idea in general, but since the holy priest streamer(s) make videos spamming healing on themselves after popping multiple other cooldowns with piety for high HPS in organized M+ groups where they’ve choreographed every pull, they probably won’t change it.

For the average player who isn’t in an organized group and has to react to more unexpected circumstances, I think premonition would have made more sense using a system like the old chakra system where you press premonition and based on the spell you cast next, you activate a different version (you could still have clairvoyance after you cast it 3 times).

IE: cast premonition, if you cast a short cooldown like PoM/shield/circle it automatically uses insight on that cast and gives you 2 more charges. If you cast premonition followed by a major cooldown or holy word, cast piety. If you use flash/heal use solace.

I think Solace is the thing that needs to be looked most. Its something i mostly skip past to get to the next. It def needs to be more impactful. Maybe it puts solace on everyone with the dR which would be nice

I see tenchar

A rotation of 3 different abilities on a relatively long recharge is a peculiar choice. If they were back to back casts, that’d be one thing. I certainly don’t keep track of what I’ve got on deck in the middle of a tussle. I just throw out whatever and sometimes I’m rewarded with a FAT shield, and sometimes not.

I would make it an oGCD combo. Solace, then flash heal, Insight, then PoM, Glory, then flash heal or whatever you need next. Weaving on a 1 min cd

Or a roll the bones style buff. You read the future and divine what sort of help your target is going to need. Apply Solace, or Insight, or Glory, give it a 15 sec CD.

OR or make it reactive to what you have targeted. Solace on a tank, insight on a dps, glory on a half hp target or whatever.

OR OR or, go the way of the FFXIV Astro, and premonition ‘draws’ a future from a pool, and its up to you to decide who it is used on. Include an Ebon-Might adjacent buff, or a raid-wide renew, or even turn your Smite into a bazooka for a little while.

Noticeable impact, clear intended use, player agency.

The current iteration has none of these things. You’re welcome to disagree, but the opportunity cost of not getting something Actually Cool isn’t worth defending.

Solace definitely shouldn’t be overlooked.

Several of these dungeons on Fortified give the tank a hard time and with Oracle you can give them a 15-20% DR for 15s. If you use Solace and GS/Pain Sup to fill in gaps of the tanks defensives (which you can track with OmniCD) you drastically lower the chance of the tank dying and then the group wiping.

The majority of bricked keys I’ve had in +10s and higher (especially Siege/Stone Vault) are from tanks dying then the rest of the group gets killed. Being able to time the keys almost solely relies on the tank surviving at this point more then dps/hps checks.

And i do use it for that bro, ITs just its a little lackluster. I put it on the tank or a dps with a dot, ie last boss SoB and move on.

I have the omnicd def tracker. only picked it up this season
