I hate mages!

Been trying to quest in Hillsbrad, and I’m constantly running into mages nuking all the quest mobs by AOE farming. I pretty much have to sit in stealth and hope they die so I can continue questing. :disappointed:

I also love it when the mages doing this are 10+ levels over, not even getting exp for it :expressionless: like seriously bro, I know it’s hardcore but can you at least kill green mobs.

I used to hate mages, it was the one class I had never played in my nearly 20 yr of WoW history.

HOWEVER, I decided to try one this time and it is SO FUN. Mages are having mad fun, its not just about the aoe farming, its genuinely so fun to play one. Try it!!

Yeah farming mobs you need can be annoying though.

I had the same complaint in 2019 in Classic. At least then I could kill opposing faction mages in the middle of pulls being on Grobbulus.

or another option is use the addon to show your layer you are in, and join “LookingforGroup” channel and say… need to layer hop from “insert your layer number” and usually within 10 seconds, someone invites you to a group, you join it and BOOM new area loads and probably more quest mobs/items to collect

Although my mage on HC doesn’t AoE farm, I do camp mobs exclusively for cloth reagent drops.

The key is to pull some extra mobs and run them into the blizzard radius, or next to him so they get aggro from the wrong direction when they frost nova. Make sure it looks like an accident and say OMG SORRY when you do it. :stuck_out_tongue:

If it makes you feel any better, some mages (not naming names) focus on staying alive and don’t get greedy, help out when they can, offer water/food freely…you klnow…magey stuff.

But if Citizen Wilkes is alive, he is mine.

Or…Move on to one of many other quests and come back to finish the current one.

All mages are just one lag spike away from Elwynn.

Also, just abuse layer hoping. Mage on your layer? /4 LF layer hop please
